Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In Spy Adventure Series At Skydance TV – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Skydance Television is developing an original hourlong series headlined and executive produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first major foray into scripted television, I have learned.

Created by Scorpion creator Nick Santora, the series is said to be a global spy adventure with a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter at the center of the story.

Skydance is expected to take out the project to streamers shortly. I hear preliminary casting is underway for the role of the daughter.

Santora is developing and executive producing the spy drama as part of his overall deal with Skydance Television. He also serves as executive producer/showrunner of the studio’s upcoming Jack Reacher series for Amazon.

Schwarzenegger executive produces the new series along with Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost; Carolyn Harris will oversee the project for the company.

Hmm. I'll keep an eye on it, will be weird to see Arnie in a series though.

It's weird, but Arnold isn't the big box office draw he used to be. He's an icon, but his recent movies aren't breaking any records, so I think this is a smart move. Sure beats making mediocre VOD movies like Stallone...

Yeah, other than Expendables, I don’t think he’s had a single hit since coming back to acting after his governorship.

It's Arnold, so I'll be checking it out. Was and still am a massive fan!

Arnold Schwarzenegger Spy Adventure Series Ordered By Netflix; Skydance TV Show Also Stars Monica Barbaro – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has given an eight-episode series order to an untitled global spy adventure one-hour starring and executive produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first major foray into scripted television.

The streamer landed the Skydance TV-produced hourlong series, also starring Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick), in a competitive situation last November for development with a script-to-series commitment.

In the series, created by Nick Santora (Jack Reacher; The Fugitive series), when a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Barbaro) learn that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA Operatives for years, they realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all. Forced to team up as partners, our series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, fantastic action and humor.

Was just watching the end of True Lies on TV now. A shame we never got a sequel. Arnie should've gotten Eliza Dushku for this show.
