From IGN Movies:

January 19, 2007 - A psychological thriller set in the world of ballet? Why not. The Fountain helmer Darren Aronofsky is eyeing Black Swan, the story of a manipulative relationship between a veteran dancer and a rival, as his next film. The project was just picked up by Universal.

Aronofsky is attached to direct, reports today's Variety, from a script by John McLaughlin. The pair previously collaborated on an HBO series pilot about haunted houses, as well as an adaptation of the horror novel Song of Kali.

The studio is reportedly putting Black Swan on the fast track. The movie was reportedly set up at Universal based on a detailed outline conceived by the director and writer.

Aronofsky had been linked to a Paramount-based take on Lone Wolf and Cub, a planned live-action adaptation of Kazuo Koike's graphic novel, but that seems to have fallen apart due to rights issues. He's also said he has a bible-inspired epic in development based on a poem he wrote in seventh grade. Stay tuned!

Am I the only one that wanted to see Lone Wolf and Cub? Oh well, still looking forward to anything he puts out. Aronofsky rocks.

I'll see anything by Aronofsky. The Fountain was amazing.

Natalie Portman is attached to play the lead in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, a supernatural thriller set in the world of New York City ballet, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Mark Heyman, a development executive at Aronofsky's Protozoa Pictures, has done a rewrite of John McLaughlin's original script for the film, which Mike Medavoy's Phoenix Pictures and Protozoa are producing.

Black Swan centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer, with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having

Mila Kunis is in talks to star opposite Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky's supernatural drama Black Swan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer (Kunis), with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions.

Black Swan is set to begin shooting in the fall in New York.

Kunis stars in the upcoming pics Extract, The Book of Eli and Date Night.

Can I just tell you why none of my review matters? Can I just tell you why my review is absolutely pointless?

Because in this movie, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis have sex.

Yeah. You read that right. And not just nice sweet innocent sex either. We're talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex. Yeah so...this movie is already on the must-see list of 2010. But how good is it? Does the story that surrounds the sex disappoint or excel?

If anyone has the script, PM me.
