Even though I am a metal fan, I really never liked or disliked their music. I guess it just didn't do it for me. But listening to their music their drummer was pretty awesome. RIP James.

Natural causes at 28? That gets a big HMMM from me. Whatever the case, I'm somewhat of a fan and this is never news you'd like to hear.

I like Avenged Sevenfold. One of my favorite bands and I was shocked to hear this news. But dying at the age of 28 is considered normal? Natural causes? This just lets us know to appreciate the life we have and we never know when that day will come.

Rev will definitely be missed and he was an amazing drummer.

i loved avenge sevenfold they did a great cover of the best song ever (walk by Pantera) i think that maybe since avenge sevenfold has done so many tributes for their heroes (pantera) maybe Pantera's old drummer can help them out or something

Looks like the temporary replacement will be Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater. He's working with them in the studio on their next album for a July release. A7X is also rumored to be touring with Disturbed over the Summer, but who knows if he'll be joining them on the road as well.
