Batman 1989 or Batman Returns

Which movie do you like better?

For me it's Batman 1989. It has a better villain and doesn't really have most of the stuff that made me like Batman Returns less. I like them both and they're some of my favorite comic book movies, I like Batman Forever too. Batman Returns is a really good movie, but it's stuffed with way to much innuendo and The Penguin is a pervert who wants to drown babies. Let that sink in (No pun intended). Penguin and Catwoman are good villains though and Danny Devito and Michelle Pfeiffer give great performances, but Batman 1989 is my favorite Batman movie. Batman Returns comes second.

Batman Returns.

Batman 89 is too slow and not all the well balanced. I LOVE the vision of Burton in Returns. He brings poetry in to the shots. And Pfeiffer as Catwoman gave one hell of a performance.

Overall the movie was better (for me personally)

Love both films to death, but I just adore Returns so much! It's my favorite live-action Batman film and may always be. Love that snowy Christmas setting.

I love them both, but if I have to choose between them, it's Batman 89 for me. Mainly because of the opening scene between Batman and the two thugs.
