Batman: Heart of Hush (art question)

Hey guys, the HC copy of Batman: Heart of Hush just came out today. I was wondering if any of you guys actually read the comic version and what kind of art did it have?

I'm not too much into the old school comic book art, I'm more interested in reading comics with lots of colors xD.

Old school comics: Batman - Going Sane
Hush Returns
Ones I like: All-Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder
Hush 1 + 2

The story isnt bad. Its not the best but its not the worst either. I enjoyed it. The art was done by Dustin Nguyen, and hes pretty darn good, but it all depends what you like. The art has Batman with the navy blue cape and grey tights....id say its not old school at all so you might like it

if you like Jim lee (like two of the ones you mentioned) you might not care for dustin's work.

I wish he would have colored the interior with water colors, but it's pretty much all like this just darker.

It doesn't, you'll have to buy those separately unfortunately. I did and don't regret it.

Definitely get them, they complete the story and are great on their own too.

They aren't a necessary part of the story, it's all told in "Heart of Hush". Faces of Evil use its conclusion as a starting off point, but they're a different story entirely.

So, I finally gave in and bought this book yesterday.

I must say, it's probably the biggest waste of $20 I've had in a long time. As if I didn't hate Hush enough already, I hate him that much more now (and not in that "the way you're supposed to hate a villain" way- I mean the way a character is ****ing terrible, has stupid motives, and just turns out to be some emo idiot). Plus, the art sucked ass.

absolutely. while HoH finishes the full story for Batmans part it continues for Selina and Hush in Last Rites. because it's more compact and punchier I enjoyed it more than HoH itself. that fact it wasn't collected with the trade is sheer bastardy on the part of DC. I'm hoping it's because they've decided to collect it with the first Sirens trade, as a kind of a necessary to prologue to that series
