Well yes and no. A shot of 12 year old BW doesn't need Affleck to be there. That casting announcement is also for New Mexico, even Snyder tweeted thanks to them after the were done there.

While his character is an accountant by day and an assassin by night according to Variety, IMDB has this movie still in pre-production. So why would they be rushing to cast mini-Ben? It has to be Batman v. Superman, right?

I think they watched a rough cut and decided they needed to add more one more flashback scene to the Wayne Murder montage.

I think this may be the case. Something to give a little more background to the Alfred - young Bruce relationship or similar.

The guy circled looks more like Cavill from behind than he looks like Affleck. Not sure about Amy Adams though.
