I made this thread to only discuss about BvS FILMING news, pictures, etc.

HERE'S THE FIRST ONE.

There has been a change in plans for Fox’s high profile drama project The Middle Man, which has a pilot order and has been on track to series under Fox’s new development model. Oscar winner Ben Affleck, who was set to helm in his pilot directing debut, had to pull out because of scheduling issues with Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman movie, in which Affleck plays Batman. While Warner Bros. recently pushed the release date for the movie from 2015 to 2016, word is that production is not being delayed and the main players have been summoned to start work right away. Additionally, I hear Affleck has other film commitments in the spring, when The Middle Man pilot is scheduled to shoot. Casting on Middle Man had been well under way with auditions already scheduled. That now has been put on hold until Fox brass figure out a course of action.

Hey All,


So.....I asked my associate who's actually on the key production crew for BvS once again if JL is being filmed 'back-to-back'. I asked twice before, and twice was told it wasn't. According to him...the idea of shooting right after BvS (and yes, the planned 8-month shoot is still only for BvS) is actually a recent option, and it is still being decided but not fully decided on. They're taking some of the remaining month of preproduction before principle on BvS to decide, and seeing what crew can possibly stay on, etc.

It seems they still may try to fit it in before starting post on BvS (since there will still be over a year until release), or they still may wait until after depending on how this next month works out. Suffice to say...there's a lot going on with this production. So...it's definitely a concrete possibility, but as of today it is not yet locked in stone. I don't know how any of you feel, but he's been really clear and accurate with me on everything else so far, so I believe this to be the truth again.

Yeah...its officially a 'TBD'...but it is at least an option now, whereas it wasn't before.

I guess it all depends on how far along the script for JL is....

Yeah. Honestly, if Snyder is really shooting this entire film with no 2nd unit, no way in hell he can have Justice League done by 2017. 2018 at the absolute earliest.

No 2nd unit on a film this massive is hard. Ask Christopher Nolan how long it took him to shoot RISES and that film did not have the level of visual effects that this film will probably have.

The only remaining question is is if they can't get JL out by 2017 or even 2018, will WB get antsy and put out a solo film before Snyder finishes JL?

I hope to God not. I like this idea of cohesive trilogy by Snyder that lays the foundation before the possible solo films.

Now, I have no problem with them doing other DC properties in that time frame not connected to this new DC Universe. They've done it with V for Vendetta, Constantine, and Watchmen.

This new universe shouldn't stop them from doing that still.

I think that, should they decide to film JLA back to back with BVS, we may see the latter delayed until the holidays 2016.

And as far as JLA, if the begin filming this year (or next year), they'll still have tons of time for post production work.

It was rumoured that dc cinematic universe would connect their movies with cliffhangers instead of post credit scenes.
