Love horror movies? Got a big rack? Want to be the next Elvira?

Well then step on down! With Cassandra Peterson pushing 60 (holy ****!) they're looking for someone to take her place, even though she hasn't really hosted in years.

Fox's Reality channel (cunningly titled Fox Reality) is holding The Search for the Next Elvira, another in a series of reality shows scraping the very bottom of the barrel. In it, 13 ladies will compete to become one of her “Handmaidens of the Dark”, with the competition and coronation ceremony occuring on July 13th. Ominous, eh? Still, Elvira's always been an important figurehead for campy horror even if she did rip off Vampira. Why wouldn't you want to be the next one?

If you're interested, head on over to Fox Reality's site for all the info. If you don't get a chance to submit the application there's going to be an "Open Casket Call" for those of you who live near Long Beach, Ca.
