What did you guys think of the movie?? I liked it but i wish they would have added more aliens. And who the hell was that girl in the red jacket? she was never in the series.
It comes on in about an hour and 15 minutes here, but I've been super excited for this since I saw the first trailer. It looks incredible for a TV movie. I can only imagine what a big budget theatrical Ben 10 would be like.
When I saw they were using one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands to promote this (There For Tomorrow- "A Little Faster"), I decided there was no way I would miss this.
I'll come back with my review after I watch it. TMNT is on now.
Very well done! I was entertained the whole way through! Honestlym the only chink I found in the film was the actress who portrayed Elena (sp?). Some of her line deliveries/movements felt stiff or forced. Still though, I was very impressed with the film over all. The other actors were spot on with their portrayals of the series' characters. The aliens looked appropriately sick, as did the FX. I was in awe of the opening fight when Ben became Big Chill and froze the chips. VERY well done. This film had high production
I gotta say, I hope they continue with the periodic Ben 10 live action tv films, if not full theatrical films. With the next installment of the animated series (Ben 10: Evolution) forthcoming, I would hope this cast returns for a film during that run (apparently, Evolution takes place 1 year after the end of Alien Force).
I give it a super solid 8.5/10.
(Extra .5 because they actually fit the song I mentioned liking earlier into the film itself, during
the driving sequence after Ben gets his new car
)
I'll definitely be picking this one up on DVD.
Wow, I feel like Cartoon Network has been 2 for 2 with it's recent run of live action films, with this and the previous Scooby Doo Begins, which I thought would end up kinda lame, but I turned out enjoying moreso than the big budget theatrical films. The big movies felt like they were less of an adaptation and more of a self-aware spoof, where as Scooby Begins had a few laughs with some of the signature Scooby moments, but never tried to make fun of itself and had alot more heart than the big movies ever did.
