Follows Daniel Meyer/Miller (Richard Armitage), who has just arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin, Germany. Meyer has a clandestine mission: to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a now-famous whistleblower named Thomas Shaw. Guided by veteran Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans), Daniel learns to contend with the rough-and-tumble world of the field agent: agent-running, deception, the dangers and moral compromises.

The Berlin CIA station has become popular lately in the entertainment world.

Looks like it can be great. Wishing this show the best.

TV Review: ‘Berlin Station’

The show doesn’t reinvent the spy drama for the modern era, nor does it rise to the level of some of the most captivating secret-agent thrillers of recent years (e.g., “London Spy,” “Deutschland 83,” and “The Americans,” the last two of which flash back to the fraught Cold War of the ’80s). But “Berlin Station,” a contemporary serial set among CIA and German operatives in that European city, is a credible option for those who enjoy “Homeland,” and appreciate its character-driven moments enough to patiently ride out the inconsistencies of the Showtime drama’s most recent seasons.

Speaking of obscurity, at times, “Berlin Station” recalls the little-known but fondly remembered AMC drama “Rubicon,” which depicted the pressure-cooker environment that spies, intelligence bureaucrats, and analysts contend with on a daily basis, and the self-destructive tendencies and elaborate coping strategies they often develop as a result. “Berlin Station” is not quite as cerebral as “The Americans” or “Rubicon,” and it occasionally cuts corners in its rush to create narrative momentum, but the Epix series has an outstanding cast that takes its reasonably solid storytelling and raises it a few notches through sheer talent and charisma.

I got one more episode to go,pace really picked up over the last 3 episodes.

Ashley Judd Joins Epix's Berlin Station

Ashley Judd is entering the spy game as a series regular on Season 2 of Epix’s original drama Berlin Station.

Judd will play BB Yates, Berlin’s disarming new Chief of Station, who is nicknamed “The Station Whisperer” because she shores up CIA stations in moral or corporate disrepair.

Premiere Dates for ‘Berlin Station

The second season of “Berlin Station” will air on Sunday, October 15 at 9:00 PM ET/PT

Season 2 of “Berlin Station” opens in the thick of a New World Order that has taken root and is steadily deepening. In the wake of the Far Right tide sweeping across continental Europe, Germany finds itself on the precipice of a pivotal election. Season 2 stars Richard Armitage as Daniel Miller, Rhys Ifans as Hector Dejean, Richard Jenkins as Steven Frost, Leland Orser as Robert Kirsch and Michelle Forbes as Valerie Edwards. New to the cast this season are Ashley Judd as the new Chief of Station, BB Yates, and Keke Palmer as young case officer April Lewis.

The series is created and executive produced by Olen Steinhauer. Bradford Winters serves as executive producer and showrunner. Academy Award winner Eric Roth, along with Steve Golin, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Keith Redmon and Luke Rivett from Anonymous Content also executive produce. The series is produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content.

Epix Renews Spy Series ‘Berlin Station’ For Third Season

EXCLUSIVE: Just days after Berlin Station had its Season 2 finale, Epix today is giving the Olen Steinhauer-created spy series a third season.

Season 3 of Berlin Station looks set to start streaming on Epix in late 2018 or early 2019, I hear. However, it is not yet set in stone who is returning from the Richard Armitage, Michelle Forbes, Leland Orser, Ashley Judd, Richard Jenkins and Rhys Ifans starring series or if EP Brad Winters will be back as showrunner. With the German capital as its primary backdrop, a Season 3 production start is being penciled in for around spring next year.

‘Berlin Station’: Jason Horwitch Set As New Showrunner Of Epix Series

Jason Horwitch (House Of Cards) has been tapped as executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming third season of the Epix drama series Berlin Station. He succeeds Brad Winters, who is departing after serving as showrunner on the first two seasons of the spy series, from Paramount TV and Anonymous Content.

With the German capital as its primary backdrop, a Season 3 production start is being penciled in for this year, with a premiere targeting late 2018. It is unclear yet who of the show’s cast is returning. It has included Richard Armitage, Michelle Forbes, Leland Orser, Ashley Judd, Richard Jenkins and Rhys Ifans.

how's season 2? I'm curious to watch due to the addition of Palmer. I guess I'll binge it along with season 3 (when it's done).

Season 2 was good,a lot faster paced than the first season, if I recall (it's been a while since I saw season 2) Palmer's character doesn't have that much of large role in the 2nd season, but I expect her role to get bigger in the 3rd season.

Thanks. I went ahead and torrented it. I'm gonna try and find time to watch before the end of the month. My sister is a huge KEKE fan so i might encourage her to view either seasons.
