An army of Nazis hidden on the Moon ever since World War II ended launch a full-scale attack against Earth in 2018. Directed by Timo Vuorensola.

Lockout.
A government agent (Guy Pierce) convicted of a crime which he did not commit is offered his freedom if he can rescue the President's daughter (Maggie Grace) from a prison in Space which has been overtaken by its prisoners. Directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger.

These plotlines are almost too good to be true! :funny:

The Avengers.
Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are reunited by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of SHIELD, to battle a new enemy. Directed by Joss Whedon.

A huge test for Joss Whedon but potentially spectacular!

Snow White and the Huntsman.
Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is targeted by his evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron), who hires Eric, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), to kill her. However, upon discovering that Ravenna is responsible for his wife's death, Eric helps Snow White to escape to the Dark Forest, where they join forces with Eric's old allies, the Eight Dwarfs led by Caesar (Ian McShane) in order to take down Ravenna. Directed by Rupert Sanders.

I like the sound of this re-imaginging.

Prometheus.
The spaceship Prometheus is sent to Paradise, the homeworld of the Space Jockeys, alien Gods who have harvested life on Earth, terraforming the planet to allow for life to develop, in order to discover more about the origin of the Human race. However, when they try to steal the Space Jockeys' secrets, the beings unleash a seemingly unstoppable biological weapon upon the humans as they try to escape. Directed by Ridley Scott.

Come on Ridley! restore the Alien to it's former glory.

The Amazing Spider-Man.
Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), the amazing Spider-Man, confronts his mentor, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), turned by a mysterious serum into a creature known as "The Lizard". To help him, Peter counts with his girlfriend, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), daughter of Police Captain George Stacy (Dennis Leary), who is conducting a manhunt on Spider-Man. Directed by Marc Webb.

I hope this hasn't gone too twilight.

The Dark Knight Rises.
Batman (Christian Bale) and his allies Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine), Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) and Comissioner James Gordon (Gary Oldman) confront the drug-enhanced criminal mastermind Bane (Tom Hardy) and the morally ambiguous professional thief Catwoman (Anne Hathaway). Directed by Christopher Nolan.

The Daddy!

The Bourne Legacy.
A new agent (Jeremy Renner) has to deal with the ramifications of the Treadstone Project. Directed by Tony Gilroy.

Risky move by Renner.

Total Recall.
Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), a mild-mannered man who lives in New Shangai and dreams of visiting Euroamerica, decides to undergo memory implanting procedure at the hands of Rekal Corporations in order to fufilling his fantasies and acidentally unlocks hidden memories that seem to suggest that he's a spy with a key participation in a nefarious conspiracy to start war between the two superpowers. On which side, he doesn't know. Directed by Len Wiseman.

Can't wait to see what Wiseman does with this fresh take.

Looper.
Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a member of a team of assassins known as "Loopers", who kill individuals sent from the future by a powerful crime syndicate to be exterminate before they are even born, thrus erasing them from the timeline altogether. Things start to go wrong when Joe recognizes one of his targets as his older self (Bruce Willis). Directed by Rian Johnson.

Really intrigued by this as I'm a fan of the director and actors.

Bond 23.
James Bond (Daniel Craig) returns. Directed by Sam Mendes.

Welcome back Mr Bond.

Man of Steel.
Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) leaves Smallville after 25 years in search of answers about himself and his role in the world, and, in the process, comes into conflict with the Kryptonian war criminal General Zod (Michael Shannon) and his soldiers, pavimenting the road that'll lead to his transformation into Superman. Directed by Zack Snyder.

Not keen on Cavill but the rest of the cast is strong, hopefully Nolan reigns in some of Snyder's tendencies.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
The Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) joins the wizard Gandalf, the Grey (Ian McKellen) and 13 dwarf warriors led by the legendary Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on a quest to recover the treasure of the lost dwarf kingdom of Erebor from the Lonely Mountain protected by the dragon Smaug (Voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch). Directed by Peter Jackson.

Can lightning strike twice?

Hunter Killer.
An American submarine commander and a Navy SEAL team must rescue the Russian President and defeat a renegade admiral who's trying to start World War III. Directed by Phillip Noyce.

Noyce is a decent director and this sounds a bit like The Hunt for Red October meets Air Force One meets The Rock. :woot:

Good job on the list protocida.

I would like to add this film on to the list:

Only God Forgives

A fugitive (Ryan Gosling) on the run from the British police who hides out in Bangkok, where he runs a Thai boxing club that is a front for a drug smuggling operation. Circumstances force him to get into the ring for a shot at redemption.

Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn

Cloud Atlas.
Six tales spawning from the distant past to an post-apocalyptic future connect. Directed by Tom Tykwer.

Just want to point out that Cloud Atlas is directed by both Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis.

Their respective titles don't really put it all into reality enough for me, so I have to spell it out:

Batman.
Superman.
Spider-Man.
James Bond.

Men in Black.
Iron Man.
Captain America.
The Incredible Hulk.
Thor.
The Hobbit.

.... All in the same goddamn year. :wow::wow:

Man on a Ledge sounds interesting, but I look forward to seeing if Sam Worthington can give the kind of performance needed to make that believable.

I dont see Brave being mentioned yet.

Where did you get the Man of Steel plot description?

Some of these synopses are based on assumption. JCVD hasn't been confirmed for Expendables 2 for example.

(In no particular order)

The Avengers
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Dark Knight Rises
Django Unchained
Lincoln
Man of Steel
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I may die of shock.

Add Prometheus and those are my most anticipated films. Sounds a hell of a lot better than this year.
