Here it is then, I included every movie that got more than one vote, there still weren't enough for a 10 a options poll but better variety than the last couple though!

Vote on folks! :D

It ain't going to win, but vote goes to Rocky as it is one of my all-time favorite movies. Hard to call it a blockbuster given its low budget, though.

Would have to give a slight edge to Godfather over Jaws, but they are both incredible movies.

Man this is so tough.

For me this is technical brilliance (Jaws) v childhood awe (SW) v lifetime film bond and shaping of me as a man (Superman)…..

mmmm……

Superman wins it - my vote Superman

Star Wars and Jaws are the top 2 for me but Star Wars is the easy winner, that film changed so much and opened the gateway to one of the most exciting world's and greatest characters ever seen in fiction, so many great memories attached to that movie, it's a classic that has stood the test of time.

I think the definition of blockbuster is usually about spectacle but you could argue that Jaws is really more a thriller, and it can also be about box office, Rocky's take for it's day was very strong for a little boxing movie.

There would've been more variety if you included some that only got one mention because no-one else thought of them!

Grease was a blockbuster and so was Saturday Night Fever. They might not have had spectacle, but they were huge at the box office. And Towering Inferno did have spectacle , an all-star cast and was also huge at the box office.

I went with the one that shouted blasphemies at the audiences and grossed them out, while making them come back for more under an R rating.

:P

Jaws is maybe my favorite movie ever, but the best "blockbuster" is definitely Star Wars. That movie changed the whole industry in ways that are still felt today. You can easily say the whole modern era of Hollywood started with Star Wars, it is that influential.

Star Wars. Jaws may have started it but Star Wars brought it to a whole new level.

In probably the least surprising result of any poll, Star Wars is the winner! :D:

Congrats SW, you changed the landscape for all of us and we'll be eternally grateful....to celebrate ? That opening that blew all our minds in '77 and for years & generations to follow....
