My research suggests that Gremlins are kinda like a think lank goblin creature that is the tinker creatures who are very intelligent but like there bigger cousins contain no magical gifts.

Gremlins are way cooler but gnomes seem to have the advantage.

Well don't say this as fact Gremlins known as Kobolds or Goblinoids in Dungeons and dragons are smart trap builders and tinker experts but like goblins there big cousins have no magic but Gnomes being one of the core D/D race characters have powers of magic but are more tolerant then there cousins dwarves.
Yeah i am a D/D geek had friend who had all the characters books and so on.

Gremlins for sure. They scare WW2 pilots and William Shatner while Gnomes just hang around old peoples lawns looking like extras from some Village People the movie that never got released.

Gnomes definitely. A lot smarter and tougher. To give Gremlins the credit they're due however some of the planes that made it back during WWII did so only because gremlins held the planes together and sometimes held them up in the air when they should have fallen out of the sky.
