OK, so obviously great film, firstly.

But whenever the film is on TV, i notice a really bizarre edit, which i can't explain.

Considering the amount of sex, violence, swearing etc, there is one really innocuous scene which is always removed for some reason.

About 2/3rds of the way through, when Matt Damon goes to see Queenan, tyo ask him for advice (just after Dignam calls him a "rat F***" and attempt to block him). During the converstaion Queenen says "Follow Costello you'll find his rat who's here at SIU" and then there is a really quick shot panning out of the office window-showing all the detctives at work, and a strange beeping/modem noice on the soundtrack.

This lass lines of dialog and the subsequent shot are always cut out of TV edits (at least in UK). Why???

A really strange question, but inoticed it tonight and it really bugged me!

I know in this coutry we edit out headbutts and knife references, but this seemed really random!!!

No idea. I can't be for time if it lasted that long. Maybe the editors thought is was a useless shot.

God I hate editing on tv. It's like scribbling on a page of a book.
