Bandai Namco has announced Black Clover: Project Knights, a game based on the Black Clover manga and anime, for PlayStation 4 and PC. It will launch worldwide in 2018. In Japan, it will only be released for PlayStation 4.


More information is due out on December 18 at 17:00 JST.

Gauche Adlai and Mimosa Vermillion will be playable in Black Clover: Quartet Knights, the latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals.




Gauche can use support techniques to create ally clones, while Mimosa can heal her teammates, as well as use stationary and regeneration-type techniques. She can also use support magic that picks up on the whereabouts of enemies.




Black Clover: Quartet Knights is due out worldwide for Playstation 4 and PC in 2018. In Japan, it will only be released for PlayStation 4.

Bandai Namco has released new information and a new set of screenshots of Black Clover: Quartet Knights, which feature newly announced playable characters Gauche Adlai and Mimosa Vermillion, as well as previously announced characters Asta, Noelle Silva, Yuno, and Yami Sukehiro.


Get the new details below, via Bandai Namco:
Each character in the four-player formation will support the fight in different ways:



    • The Melee character will attack with aggressive magic doing powerful damage in close range battles.
    • The Range role is really efficient in long distance fights with a strong shot when the character is properly positioned on a hill.
    • The Barrier will support the team being able to raise abilities of teammates.
    • The Healer will help the team with healing magic.

More details regarding playable characters have also been revealed. In Black Clover: Quartet Knights, all characters will have specific abilities and skills.



    • Asta, a Melee character, is really good at wall running and can eliminate the magic set by enemies with one swing!
    • Yuno and Gauche both have a Range role. Yuno has high mobility in the air whilst Gauche performs high-firing and long-range shooting from advantageous positioning by teleporting using a mirror.
    • Noelle is a Barrier Healer type character and features a high fire power magic to protect teammates.
    • Mimosa is a recover healer character fighting with various magic such as range recovery magic “Dream Healing Flower Basket” and trap magic “Maiden’s nursery bed”.

Black Clover: Quartet Knights gameplay is more than a four-versus-four team battle. There are various rule settings such as the “Area Controlling Fight” where teams accumulate magical powers in the magical rings! Battles will become more strategical especially with the abilities of each playable character.

Here is an overiew of the mode, as described in the trailer:
Teams race to hold control of the target area. Standing within the ring will fill the magic gauge. Teams can add more team members in the ring to increase the gauge fill rate, but run the risk of vulnerability to a full barrage from the opposing team.

Vanessa Enoteca and an original character named Karna will be playable in Black Clover: Quartet Knights, Bandai Namco announced.
Vanessa is a member of the Black Bull Squad who uses Thread magic for support and attacks. Karna is a mysterious and gifted magician who uses “terrifying” Moon magic.
Additionally, Bandai Namco has released the first in a series of character trailers, the first one focusing on Black Clover protagonist Asta.

Klaus Lunette
Klaus is a member of the Golden Dawn, the strongest of the nine squads of the order of the Magic Knights. He takes on the Support role. As a battle strategist, he can control the battlefield by dividing the fighting-line to his liking. His attacks have a dual purpose inflicting damage and confining enemy’s movements. This character will best be used as a support for a powerful Ranged magician.


Grimoire Cards
The Grimoire Cards will allow players to maximize the effectiveness of their character’s abilities. Every Magic Knight has access to one of three unique Decks, each suiting different play-styles, granting them passive enhancements and ability improvements. From this deck, players can further personalize their character by choosing four Grimoire Cards to give them access to additional abilities.

Bandai Namco has released the debut trailer for Black Clover: Fantasy Knights, its upcoming “kingdom protection RPG” for smartphones based on the popular manga and anime series.


Black Clover: Fantasy Knights features an original story centered on Diene, an old acquaintance of the Magic Emperor. The game uses a “Formation Battle” system, where formation and character array are the key. Battle formation powers up the characters, and since you can change up formation during battle, doing so based on the situation is the secret to victory.


Black Clover: Fantasy Knights is due out for iOS and Android in 2018 in Japan.

A member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun who specializes in attack magic and stamina, Vetto can deploy barriers to guard from enemy attacks.



When he opens his third eye, his power is significantly increased by Demon Beast Magic.


The magazine also has tidbits of information about the game’s original story mode, which depicts the memories of Yami from 14 years ago. Yami and Karna are seemingly connected by a necklace—the story moves from when they break into a nobleman’s residence and find a necklace with a strange shine. Yami will help Karna, who has nowhere to go.

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Black Clover: Quartet Knightsintroducing playable character Luck.

Previous character trailers have introduced Magna, Licht, Vetto, Charmy, Vanessa, Fana, Mars, Mimosa Vermillion, Noelle Silva, Yuno, and Asta.

Black Clover: Quartet Knights is due out for PlayStation 4 on September 13 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam on September 14 in the Americas and Europe.

Bandai Namco shared a glimpse of its original story mode with a look at a mysterious demon beast you’ll encounter in the game, as well as a look at some DLC swimsuit costumes that’ll be available on release day.
