I looked but there seems to be no thread about this movie..

The film plays in an apocalyptic medieval world during the first outbreak of the bubonic plague in England, the movie follows a band of brothers whose quest to hunt down a necromancer who is rumored to have made a pact with the forces of darkness and have brought the dead to life in a small village. A mercenary priest (Sean Bean) is hot on the trail of the necromancer, as well as a young monk (Rupert Friend) who is sent to investigate the rumors of the dead coming to life.

I swear, the man is like the next Malcolm McDowell; a guy who started out great then as he gets older, dived into weird spiral.

I hope that his new HBO show will be good though.

Too bad. At least the movie's plot sounds kind of cool. The black death era ought to be portrayed more in film.

Watched this yesterday. Pretty good. Very "hopeless" movie. Doom and gloom all over (well it was the black plague...)

Eddie Redmayne does very good job as the lead, the young monk Osmund.
