I couldn't find any threads except for the films ones. Anyway, Adult Swim has released the pilot for free viewing.

where is this pilot for free viewing. must see it now!

heh. wasnt too bad of a pilot. not nearly as funny as the movie. but i guess it has potential. i'd rather they just make a live action sequel to the movie.

Trailer, Posters, and Images for Adult Swim’s BLACK DYNAMITE Animated Series

If the parody blaxploitation film Black Dynamite starring Michael Jai White just wasn’t enough to whet your appetite (I’m sorry that rhymed), then you are in luck. This summer the Black Dynamite animated series finally hits the Adult Swim block of Cartoon Network. The series continues the blaxploitation parody angle, but with an animation style similar to that of The Boondocks, so there’s a chance of more racial commentary and comedy this time instead of just spoof humor.

Plus, the film’s stars Michael Jai White, Byron Minns, Tommy Davidson and Kym Whitley all reprise their roles as Black Dynamite, Bullhorn, Cream Corn and Honeybee, respectively, along with new cast members like comedian J.B. Smoove. You can hear and see them in their animated form now as the first trailer for the series has just debuted, with the series slated to premiere this summer on July 15th, the last day of Comic-Con 2012. See the trailer, two posters, and four images from the series.

Here’s the trailer from Adult Swim’s YouTube:

Frankly, I’m not sure how this is going to work out, mainly because it’s taken Adult Swim awhile to get this series on TV. The pilot itself was put on Adult Swim’s website last August and is just now coming to TV. I don’t know if that means they don’t have faith in the series, or logistics needed to be worked out for scheduling, but the series is finally hitting the air. The pilot follows Black Dynamite as he is assigned to stop a rogue educational show puppet from executing his diabolical plan on national television. Sounds like the silliness you’d expect from a Black Dynamite series.

Hopefully Euphoria won't be interrupting this time.

I'm surprised no one has posted their reaction yet. The first episode premiered last night and I found it absolutely hysterical. It even trumps the movie IMO for over the top ridiculousness.

Be forewarned though, this episode gleefully makes vicious fun of a recently departed music icon. So those of you who are fans of the King of Pop, you'd best steer clear.

I'll be looking forward to the next episode. :yay:

"Man I just don't know what to say! You just made little Michael Jackson moonwalk away!" :hehe:

I dont know why but I crack up EVERYTIME Black Dynamite yells "SUEY" when he hits someone

I caught some of it the other night, Creamed Corn, cracks me up... and makes me hungry.

Paul Mooney was awesome. lol

This is definitely one of the better animated adaptations I have seen.

Who knew Michael killed Cha'mone. :csad:

This show has been on a real good roll. Bullhorn on his own makes the show worth watching, but there's way more to it than just him. The Richard Pryor episode was as funny as the movie. My ribs were hurting so much from laughing at Pryor's jokes. The voice was off, but it sounded like something Pryor would say in his bits. :hehe:

I like how he kept interjecting "Jack" into his normal conversation.

A preview on the next episode. lol

"AHA, I THREW THAT ROCK BEFORE I LEFT THE MOON!"

LMAO, awesome callback to the movie.

SUEY!

What kind of jive ass orphan says that Black Dynamite ain't likable? He went to the moon for those kids! I would make fun of them, but that would be cruel and unusual because they're orphans, and orphans don't have parents.

Ironically I was watching Black Dynamite go to the Moon while somebody's Curiosity was getting their ass to Mars. A monkey fighting Amazons on the Moon was the better choice to me.:o

Same here, also the moment it landed BD's facebook updated with this:

BREAKING NEWS: Curiosity attacked by Amazon Moon Bit**es. Film at 11:30.

:funny:
