Comics Bleeding Cool rumor about ASM's scheduling revamp

I'm reminded of another time when only one writer wrote the two sole Spider-Man books a month and that was Howard Mackie (writing ASM and adjectiveless Spider-Man) during the dreaded Mackie/Byrne relaunch. Now granted Slott is infinitely more talented than Mackie, but a twice-monthly schedule can still burn him out or stretch him too thin. And if he's late on a deadline, well then the book is too.

More importantly though, I like variety in the styles of the Spider-Man stories I read. Slott is talented, but I like reading Joe Kelly's take on Spidey or Mark Waid or Bob... well, no, maybe not him. My point is, I think the readers will start to get bored if it's just all-Slott, all-the time. For what it's worth, I think the rumor is bunk though.

I disagree. I think it was cool at first, having a rotating team of writers and artists, but I like a more consistent tone and character's personality.

If this is going to be true I'm all for it. I've always enjoyed Slott's arcs on the book and if he's going to be the sole writer of the book I'll be a very, very happy spider fan. Now if Slott teams with Marcos Martin and John Romita Jr. on a regular basis it will be nerdgasm after nerdgasm! :wow:
