BLM Protests Across The World

Even if he did do something, some gesture etc... That's what justifies an NFL linebacker response?

What was this guy doing that DESERVED a cop bum rush?

John Cusack was riding his bike around Chicago and not even with protesters, stopped to film a burning car, and got pepper sprayed and hit with batons, so yea, they don’t like being filmed.

Is this about police accountability or racism? Neither? Both? I'm not sure I get it anymore.

Imagine what might happen if every victim like this person sued the city and PD all at once when this is over.

The cities lawmakers and mayors need to make public live statements telling their police officers that citizens are free to video these protests and order the cops to stop attacking people that are just recording these events. I'm so disgusted that city leaders wont or cant do anything to stop these thugs.

Looks like police are using flashlights and sirens to prevent people from recording what's going on.
If they have nothing to hide, are committing no crimes, then why are they trying to keep people from seeing what they are doing? :hmm

Aw someone deleted our which superhero was racist back and forth.

75-year-old man pushed to ground by Buffalo police 'comes from a peace tradition'

I forget who it was that questioned what this man was doing when the police pushed him down. There is the answer.

Martin Gugino is not one to stand out in a crowd.

The 75-year-old Amherst, New York, resident’s goal at rallies and protests is to ask questions, bring the community together and stand in quiet solidarity for peace, friends and his lawyer said Friday.

But he was thrust into the national spotlight Thursday night after he was pushed to the ground by a Buffalo police officer after peaceful protests at Buffalo City Hall.

I was just about to post about the man, asking if anybody knows how hes doing...thanks for that.

"Over 50 members of the Buffalo Police Department's Emergency Response team resigned their special positions Friday in response to the suspensions, according to multiple news outlets"

Hm, i read a different viewpoint about that...it said that they resigned out of solidarity for the cops who have been suspended.
This reads a bit like they resigned because they might find what the cops did wrong and dont want to be part of any of that.

That might be the revisionist excuse they gave after it was discovered they resigned over how their fellow cops were treated after being caught assaulting an old man.

Considering Wanda had a split second to see the bomb explosion, react and contain the kinetic energy of a bomb, and get it away from hundreds of people, and get it above multiple skyscrappers...yeah I'm gonna say she should remain free. There was no malicious intent, laziness, cowardice in her actions. She did the best she could in the situation. Sometimes civilians die no matter how hard good people try to stop it from happening.
It was a joke. Not meant to be taken seriously,
But yeah I think whatever your intent is, you kill 20 people, you deserve more repercussions than "c'mon she's just a kid". If you were driving a car and you, through no fault of your own, you crash and kill 20 people what would happen? There are plenty of professions that would reprimand someone for killing people, even if it was an accident. Intention doesn't matter. Someone in a position of power that is supposed to protect, kills a bunch of people, accidental or not, and is barely reprimanded. And the movie frames the Accords like they're unjust like The Avengers isn't a police force, with little accountability, who while doing some good ends up doing a lot of damage as well.
Bringing this back to actual real life, isn't that we all want. Cops, soldiers, etc. aren't being held accountable for their actions whether they have malicious intent or not. I don't want to be in a world where a cop or soldier can accidentally kill people, even if they're trying to do the right thing, and they walk around with little punishment.
In fact, I like how the beginning of the Incredibles tackled that issue.

But that's all I'm gonna say on it. You can reply, but I won't read it or reply, since it's not the purpose of the thread.

I didnt say "shes just a kid". Wanda's situation isnt the equivalent of a kid killing people with a car. It's the equivalent of a soldier or cop or any civilian failing to save everyone from a suicide bomber. The suicide bomber is responsible for the deaths. Same with Wanda. She tried to get the blast away from innocent civilians. She wasnt able to contain the blast and lost control of it. The only alternatives in the situation was they let the bad guy still a weapon of mass destruction or Rumlo blows himself up and kills everyone in the market. Wanda did the right thing and kept the loss of life as low as she could.

No doubt

Things keep getting better for this murderer. Good. His future is not going to be fun.

After reviewing video, prosecutors charge police inspector instead of protester

A Philadelphia police inspector is facing charges after prosecutors said a video shows him striking a student protester on the head with a metal baton.

Staff Inspector Joseph Bologna faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced Friday.

And of course the police union is backing his assault over the clear video evidence of his crime against a protester. He was caught on video assaulting someone, then lied about it and they defend him anyways. Do the police and their defenders see anything wrong at all about that?

The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police vowed in a statement to "vigorously defend Bologna against these baseless allegations and charges."

The police union said they were "disgusted" to learn about the charges. Bologna, a police officer for more than 30 years, was "engaged in a volatile and chaotic situation with only milliseconds to make a decision," the union said.

"These charges clearly illustrate Krasner's anti-police agenda in Philadelphia," the statement said.

I doubt if it were the other way around and someone were defending themselves against an attacker, the police would be so forgiving.
