BLUR's Dave Wilson has posted a trailer tease for the upcoming "Bloodshot" adaptation and if the trailer is as good as that short snippet we're in for a hell of a ride.

IMO this movie deserves its own thread and considering how the trailer debuts tomorrow, this is the right time!

His movies always strike me as slightly bigger budgeted syfy films.

Was it this one?

Yup. Love the visuals. Didn't know if it was okay to post in here.
As far as Vin Diesel goes, as much as I'm not a fan of most of his work nowadays, he did give some very good performances and make solid movies.
This stands out to me as an interesting project, for several reasons: the source material, director (loved his "Love, Death & Robots" short) and the cast, which includes Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Toby Kebbell and Lamorne Morris.
We'll have a better idea tomorrow.

Valiant Comic's January Tweet (Sony hasn't really started marketing until now it seems so no surprise they shopped Harbringer to Paramount when got the chance):

Valiant Comics Oct. 17 Tweet on Graphic novel that inspired the movie + recommended introduction to current iteration of the character:

Synopsis from about a month ago:
After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought

An 80's soundtrack/motif such as this would be perfect:

I do have to say though that I also hoping he has his comic book look in the movie. Even if he just gets it in the final battle.

Just got some Bloodshot comics recently which I hope to read in the near future. Will watch the trailer later as like the concept of this.

2:12 seems like a shot of him having grey-ish skin and red eyes.

By the way, seems like this will be his final look in the movie:

The character sounds a lot like Rogue Trooper to me, which if true will probably mean I will love this.

I think it looks pretty cool. Here's another trailer :

I was a HUGE Bloodshot fan when I was a kid. I had no idea a movie was being made. I remember hearing rumors, but I had no idea they actually did it. :hehe:

Overall, the trailer makes it look like a good action movie but I'm undecided on the film.

The red dot on the chest isn't just an image on a shirt as rumored from comments people were making abour the action figure toy. That being said, that's Vin Deisel. I wanted the look from the comics and don't think the only fully transforming into Bloodshot schtick at end of film really flies all that well for me.

Looks so generic to me, and the trailer was badly cut. Again, I’m not a Vin Diesel fan so it already has that against it but even visually it looks like a mess.

Yep...not a fan of Diesel...generic looking plot...and no sign of what I recognize as Bloodshot, visually. Not a good first look.

I'm honestly jut hoping this turns out better than some of Diesels other past action flicks outside of the F&F franchise. Riddick, The Last Witch Hunter and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage were all pretty mediocre and disappointing films IMO. I even liked his performance in Billy Lynn, but that movie wasn't very good either. I know nothing about this character, so I can't help but go in with low expectations.

I actually liked the trailer though. A lot of really interesting visuals and it definitely looks R-rated , although it also looks really CGI heavy which I'm not the biggest fan of but I can deal with it at this point.

I know absolutely NOTHING about this character. I just hope it turns out close enough that the fans enjoy it. I mean...nobody is expecting Macbeth here.

Man, I just kept thinking through this trailer that Guy Pearce deserves better roles. I will still watch this tho. I'm not familiar with the comics, but this felt like UPGRADE mixed with a sloppy 'Edge of Tomorrow' vibe.

That shot of uh, Bloodshot fighting the guy with the mechanical arms in mid air reminded of that bit in Spider-Man 3 where Spidey is fighting Venom in mid air as well. The CGI looked better in that 2007 movie, though :hehe:

Looks ok. I'm very interested in how it might connect with audiences as a non-MCU and non-DC film.

I think Critics approach comic films with more preconceived notions than a general audience does; Fandango needs to start utilizing avg scores next to % scores on their tomatometer more often to partially fix this. That and having a meter separate for post-theatrical run would help somewhat too but not totally.

I think the general audience for the most part doesn't have a problem if a comic film falls outside of DC or Marvel as much as critics. Whether getting enough attention to go to see said film is another matter though as opposed to like or dislike.
