AAAAAAH, I'm so excited for these comics. I'm so glad Sci Fi's revisiting Farscape. Granted, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that Farscape scored decent ratings and almost all of the new shows they've tried to air recently have failed miserably, but I say milk that cow for all it's worth. My favorite science fiction TV show ever is coming back!

Boom! rocks. I don't care about Farscape and all 30 seconds that I've seen on it looks awful, but Boom! is so awesome I might just check out an issue. Maybe.

Farscape is one of those things I can't get into no matter how many people tell me it's awesome.

I'll give the comics a try, separating the series from TV production values may improve the experience.

Dude, Farscape is awesome. I don't normally like buying licesnced stuff cuz it's usually crap, but damnit, I'm gonna buy this.

Yeah, I've generally stayed away from licensed comics, but they seem to be getting better as a whole lately. The Star Wars comics are kicking ass, Buffy and Angel both have great comics, I hear the Serenity comics are good, Zorro's comic was pretty good when I read it, etc. I hope they keep the trend going with great Farscape comics.

Never got into the buffyverse, or Serenity for that matter. And Zorro? Eh. I am gonna grab that man with no name when that comes out. Lone Ranger has been pretty good too. Not as good as Jonah Hex, but a good western all the same.

I love me some Farscape. I'm liking the preview art. If that's what the comic will look like, then it will work just fine. I will be buying this when it comes out.

I was thinking of reading that. I finally got around to watching the first two parts of the Evil Dead series, so I'm really into it at the moment.

BSG's a better show, but I liked Farscape more. It was more fun and it had a really quirky, psychotic sense of humor.

So, it was announced at SDCC that Rockne S. O'Bannon, the creator and showrunner of the TV series, will be writing Boom's Farscape comic! It's going to take place after The Peacekeeper Wars as the official fifth season of the series, everything in-canon. No word on the artist yet, but I hope it's someone good. Here's the Newsarama article about it. Toward the bottom, there's a press release about the Farscape announcement. It reads pretty much the same as Joss Whedon's announcement of Buffy season 8 did--comic format allows unlimited possibilities, greater scope, etc.
