The Strangers: $6 to 8 million opening weekend and roughly $18 million total.

As solid as I think Sex & the City will do (I'll say...$44 million opening), Indy IV will be #1 again because it has the "family movie" factor in its favor. Not everyone can see SATC, and its audience is primarily female.

As someone else said, "Mom will see Sex & the City and Dad will take the kids to see Indiana Jones!"

How come that French movie is number 2 on the international list, but nowhere to be found on the worldwide list. Even though movies that have made less than it are?

How come that French movie is number 2 on the international list, but nowhere to be found on the worldwide list. Even though movies that have made less than it are?

They have this strange rule that to qualify for the Worldwide list the movies must have been released in America one specific year. So, let's say that this French movie is released in America next year, then it will appear on the worldwide list for 2009.

Yeah, I figured it was something silly like that. World Wide should be... World Wide. America is not the world. Oh well. Now I'm actually interested in watching the French movie with the unpronounceable title.

Sweet mother of god please let Indy be number 1 again. I see that a lot of sex and the city showings all over north america are sold out, and even though I think the show is fine, I just don't see this movie as being really good.

Indy has nothing to fear from SATC.
