Wow, where all the DDF hate come from? I used to think everyone loved this movie. Most people i know do, may be because we grew up with it. I actually just watched it recently and, i dunno, i thought it aged ok.

The thing with DDF is among other things, it looks incredibly cheap -- the photography is stuck between the drab '80s look and more brighter '90s look. Plus while the premise is interesting, like a woman abandoned by her husband for another chick and regressing back to her imaginary friend to help her through the tough times. But the plot is played out really broadly, really drab and predictable and Fred's hijinks really weren't that funny.

But the big thing was Rik Mayall. Not only was he terribly cast, but he chewed the scenery all too often and he failed to make me laugh. Phoebe Cates was the only good thing about DDF. She's pretty and talented, but if she ever decides to make a Jackie Earle Haley turn back to acting, hopefully she'll take it off her resume.

He's basicly Fred already as he is. I love DDF and Russel Brand...to me, it's like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups....cocolate and peanut butter together....it's mmmmmmmmm Good.

DDF is a effing great film!

i dont mind that there will be a reboot because as people have said its not like it changes the original but it is annoying when people think it IS the original.

I thought everyone loved DDF aswell.. I want to cry when he is sick...and snot faces mom is such a *****, the seedy boyfriend is a **** too.

I look forward to what they will do with this.. i wonder how they will dress up Brand. Would be interesting to see him get away from his regular attire
