It's only Superman Returns he didn't want to make an action movie, even Unleashed under him was going to be a super smackdown, which he said even before Returns was released.

I don't see how X-Men 1 and 2 where reluctant to show action considering how gratuitous Wolverine vs. Sabretooth was and the fact that he was forced to trim down Wolverine's beserker rage because he got too carried away.

he said that he was going to go wrath of khan. but i have a feeling that studio saw comments on the internet and they told him that it has to have more action.it would be forced IMO.

he is good with thrillers and suspense. Bay is good with hot girls,comedy and action. so everyone should do what they do best.

That's opinion. Mine is that his X-Men films had great action. Simple as that really.

Anyway, he's officially directing Prisoners, do this is a 2011 release at the earliest if he decides to direct.

I loved the action in both X-movies AND SR DL.
