I just picked up a part-time shift as a security guard and was wondering does anyone know a credible place to buy a bulletproof vest. Thanks.

Have you tried your local gun shop? Wait, what country are you in? Do you even have gun shops where you live? Also, where the hell are you working security if you need a bulletproof vest? Did your employers tell you to buy one, or is this something you've decided to do on your own?

It just raises too many questions!

Decided on my own. I've called local gun shops they don't know where to get one.

No, I'm being for real. In my area, there are two or three tactical stores. They sell guns, bullets, body armor, scopes, vests, belts, camo, etc.

Also look up how to speak Korean, the Unabomber and how to overthrow the government in case they have any links to bulletproof vests as well.

Also for people wondering: this type of thing is for personal protection, I don't blame him for wanting to protect himself. I work as a security supervisor at our casino and It amazes me why they don't supply us with proper equipment like that (well, not really, they're always worried about the budget). There's been a few gun threats and people threatening to kill us every weekend. Basically if we want something nice we have to pay for it ourselves, we don't have the luxury of using tax payer dollars to supply it for us like law enforcement. But under the same breath I can see why people would be worried over such things like that.

Just raises too many questions.

I was looking at Ebay, but never bought anything off of there and the vest was 300 just didn't know if I would be getting ripped off or not

I wouldn't buy on ebay, you do know some bulletproof vests/armor have expiration dates? mostly due to wear and tear
