Plan on seeing it tomorrow. I'll see anything the Coen's put out.

One of the best things about the Coen Bros.films is that there is almost always a character with a relentless gene.Whether it's a slacker who wants his beloved rug replaced,or a hunter who wants to keep a brief case full of drug money. They all keep pursuing what they want despite being in over their heads,or how life threatening their pursuit becomes.
This brings us to Burn After Reading and Frances McDormand as Harbodies gym worker Linda Litzke. All she wants is several costly plastic surgeries.
Her pursuit leads to all types of mayhem, which includes her co-worker Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt, hilariously chipper and dim) Her philandering new lover
Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney his facial ticks alone made me laugh out loud)
an ex CIA analyst Osborne Cox (John Malkovich brilliantly intense),Katie Cox ( Tilda Swinton cold as ice but oddly attractive )the CIA,and the Russian embassy.BAR is definitely not as involving or intense as No Country for Old Men,but its still a lot of fun.I think i laughed straight through the last 25 minutes of the movie.
The scenes between David Rasche and J.K. Simmons is classic stuff
Scale of 1-10 an 8

I thought I was the only one, she was attractive to me in this as well, and I've never found her attractive. The stuff between Rasche and J.K. Simmons was absolutely hilarious!

I thought Brad Pitt was too funny. The dark moments were quick and maybe a little too brutal, and that last one really bothered me. Poor fella. :csad: The last scene with Clooney was perfect.

god, i want to see this film so bad. my friend's mom saw this last night and said it had dry humor. i expected that from the coens. but still, i long to see this.

Does anyone have the blueprints to Clooney's toy? :woot: :O

i saw this again tonight...it was still hilarious...but the crowd around me didnt like it this time...i heard alot of angry people...they were all idiots anyways...

Everyone in my theater was laughing at this part, and my friend and I were like "holy ****!" Lol good movie though. Poor Chad.

horrible movie, how can you go from making the big lebowski to this garbage ....

I didn’t read too much about this movie at all before going to watch it. But since it had George Clooney, brad pitt, John Malkovic, and Frances McDormand, I thought it would be a good watch. It was a good movie with some funny moments and well-directed, but I didn’t think it wasn’t LOL funny. The performance of cast was great, and it was nice seeing Pitt in a comedic role (although it was odd seeing an A-list star playing this type of role). I would rate it 7/10.

I just saw this at the $3 movies. I didn't have high expectations for it anyway, but, holistically my main gripe with this film is the fact that it doesn't focus on any of the characters long enough for you to really give a damn what's going on. I see what the film tried to do, but it just didn't do that well to me. It would've made up for this had t actually been funny, but well.... Anyway, I gave it 5/10(I hit 3 by mistake on the poll). It's a good movie to slowly nod off too, so it gets 5 points for that.

I love this movie, great cast.

This wasn't too bad of a film. It had great acting and a decent plot.

I felt so bad when

Brad Pitt dies.

I didn't see that coming at all.

I saw this a few months ago, quite enjoyed it. Especially John Malkovich as Osbourne Cox (I know who you are ****errrrr!!!) and those short scenes with JK Simmons were comedy gold, especially the last one (Jesus ****ing Christ...). Nice to see that the Coens still got the talent to make nice, subtle comedies, unlike Intolerable Cruelty and The Ladykillers.
