So either a) It ain't Thor or b) More sloppy writing, take your pick.

I really think either Iron Man or Thor hits Cap onto his ass right after he makes that silly remark (hence why Falcon needs to carry him out of there)

It's just his mask, it is partially ripped off so one eye still has the lens over it while the other is exposed so you can see his pupils. Just looks odd.
