I don't know about the rest of you, but killing a character like Cap in the movies will be a disservice to the character and the fans. Sure he "dies" in the comics but the silly twists in which they brought him back would never fly with the GA. If anything, Cap would either be on the run at the end, turning himself in so his friends be allowed to go free or the whole nonsense of the registration will be shown to be idiotic because it puts everyone that knows the heroes in danger. This thread is made because I want fans of Cap to chime in. Can you imagine how confused the GA wold be if they do the WS or falcon as cap? I know I would do the same that I do when they "kill" one my favs characters. I drop the comic for ever. Steve will always be Cap for ne as well as Peter is Spidey and Bruce is Bats.

This really didn't need its own thread.

Actually for a Captain America site, is quite disheartening that no one seems to defend Cap. Sure there are a few people that defend him but I will like to see the cap fans if there are any to show support and not just " Oh Cap will die because its in the comics.". Remember, this movie is not the comics and I dare say the GA will be piss off if they kill cap. I imagine IM and his team getting people killed at the behest of general thunderbolt and his masters Hydra so they can control the avengers by threatening their families. So Cap fans, Pleas show support with allowing cap to survive this movie. I don't think will die but that just me. I am sure there are quite a lot that feel the way. Represent people. and if you are a cap hater, please make your own to bash Cap. This is just for the fans that want him alive at the end. Happy hunting. And while at it, why do you think captain america? Thas a general question not directed at anyone in particular

Defending him has nothing to do with whether he'll die. I don't want him to die, I don't think he'll die, but nothing I say has any bearing on that.

But if this thread is just your opinion (which it is) and not any kind of official news, then it doesn't need to its own thread.

I completely agree with Mike. Whether we want Cap to die or not has no effect on whether or not he will. Best thing to do is to wait.

That seems incredibly melodramatic and over the top in a way that makes me question it's veracity on multiple levels.

It's like. Having a candy bar and then they change a single ingredient and you stop eating the candy bar forever without even giving the new Candy bar a chance. You atleast have to give the new candy bar a chance before you decide you dont like it. And if you dont like it, THEN it's justified because you gave it a chance.

I thought this was obvious by the fact that Chris Evans is supposed to appear in both IW movies. Whether he dies, doesn't, comes close to it, whatever, he'll be back.

So yeah, this didn't need its own thread.

I'm a huge Cap fan, but I'm just gonna wait-and-see.

Also technically, Captain America didn't die in the Civil War series itself, he actually died in the aftermath of Civil War in his own book.

The series itself actually ends with him simply giving himself up to be arrested.

So....

Captain America dies sometime in between Civil War and Infinity War? Now, that's even worse than killing him in CW.

Theres no going back after they make the accords, so either Cap will join Tonys side at the end (unlikely) or he'll be jailed (maybe) or become a fugitive like Bucky (maybe).

We know for sure all The Avengers wont become fugitives with Cap.

Jailed/Going Into Hiding Is The Most Likely

Hell it'd be an amazing moment if Cap and Bucky were bout to give up but Tony flew in and distracted the officers and or soldiers long enough for Cap and Bucky to escape and go into hiding and Tony was arrested for letting Cap and Bucky escape.

Actually the other members of Cap's team being fugitives could be an option, with the events of Infinity War forcing them to get back together.

Yes, that would make sense. It would also make them working together in IW much more difficult. But in a good way where they have to overcome the team turmoil.

I forgot about the rest of Caps team. Maybe what will happen is theyll all decide to give up, but Cap & Bucky will be someplace else (that cylo) and still on their "fight back" plan and itll end with whatever they do w/ them.

I have a feeling Bucky is going to do something drastic at the end leaving Cap in a tough spot. Like Cap went to bat for his best friend only to find out he was duped into some big master plan.

I doubt it.

Basically, I can see them either killing him or having him give himself up like he did in the series, or choice 3 maybe ALMOST killing him and the world thinks he's dead but he's laid up in a coma in some secret government facility, but I seriously doubt that they would kill him in between CW and IW2.

I agree with this.

I meant IW1 but you guys knew what I meant. I actually expect much death between IW1 and IW2.

Let's just hope some of it isn't retconned right after the fact.

Nah after killing off heroes in IW. They'll probably spend Phase 4 on some new fresh faces. Along with seuqels to newer heroes. Gaurdians, Spidey, Cap Marvel, Strange, Inhumans. New faces like Nova, Ghost Rider, F4, Thubderbolts, or maybe even XMen would also be welcome.

I think Cap deserves a better trilogy ending than dying so whoever can look sad about it.

Its probably not gonna end happy for Cap whether he lives or not
