She thinks it's incredible and enjoys it...

Here's something fun:

An alternate history of Doctor Who, in which the Doctor has always been played by a woman

Hmm, interesting but Miranda Hart doesn't seem to have much in common with Smith's Doctor. The thing people always say about Smith's Doctor is he is so young. They should have said Andrea Riseborough or someone like that instead.

Captain America

Couldn't find an Arienne Zola...

You do know that the rank of Captain doesn't change due to gender, right? I mean, I've seen every episode of Star Trek: Voyager and I've never heard Kate Muldoon's character be referred to as "Captainess Janeway".

For some characters it makes sense (changing Andre The Giant to Andrea The Giantess for example, if Andre were a fictional character). But for a military rank? Sorry, doesn't work.

Cona The Barbarian
Joanie "Chyna" Laurer

Sukitai
Tia Carere

Valoran
Liam Hemsworth

Theresa Doom
Whoopie Goldberg

Cona = Conan

Sukitai = Subotai

Valoran = Valeria

Theresa Doom = Thulsa Doom

(I just thought those names sounded more feminine, except for Valeria's which was changed to a more masculine sounding name)

Anne for the first female Doctor. She has the right personality for it. Dresses creatively, sometimes with a big hat, scarf and is sometimes seen with an umbrella, big boots and brainy specs. Someone do a manip of her in tweed. :D

The Amazing Spider-Woman

Pita Parker - Shailene Woodley
Ben Stacy - Alex Pettyfer
Aunt Gwen - Helen Mirren
Uncle Jay - Tom Hanks
Dr. Cora Connors/The Lizardess - Cate Blanchett
Capt. Georgia Stacy - Charlize Therone
Max Dillon/Electra - Anika Noni Rose
Harriet Osborn/Green Goblin - Dakota Fanning
Alexa Systevich/The Rhino - Rooney Mara
Norma Osborn - Glenn Close
Dr. Ashley Kafka - Parminder Nagra

Iron Maiden (Iron Man)

Antoinette (Toni) Stark - Sandra Bullock
Jaime Rhonda Rhodes - Taraji P. Henson (replaced by Jada Pinkett Smith for the sequels) :o
Virgil 'Pepper' Potts - Michael Fassbender
Ophelia Stane - Glen Close
Yasmin (Yinsen) - Shohren Aghdashloo
Harriet 'Happy' Hogan - Rhona Mitra
Madame Mandarin - Michelle Yeoh

(Credit Kedrell from page 1, for some of the names I used, thought I'd update some actors)

Bonus points to anyone who can cast a Rule 63 version of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Crying Game or Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

I'm glad someone brought this up, because catching up on this thread, people's insistence on feminizing names that were basically just titles that wouldn't chance in the real world regardless of gender was annoying the piss outta me! I couldn't even focus on whether or not any of gender swapping casting choices even made sense.

I gotta be honest with you, Penelope Cruz in her Jack Sparrow disguise, mustache and all, really gets my motor running. :ninja:
