Right now, I can't think of anyone better than Morrone for the part. A rising star with solid acting chops, she's still relatively unknown. Traditional depictions of WW aren't particularly ethnic looking IMO (the character's typically illustrated like Clark or Bruce — only female); BUT if you're looking for someone w/ a stereotypical Mediterranean look in keeping with her fictional backstory, Morrone ticks that box as well. At 5'9", she's also one of the taller actresses out there; and her general physique is pretty damn great.

Great cast. Feeling most of ‘em except for Lex, just because I’d prefer more of a younger leading man type for that character. But Shepherd was great in TLOU so I’d love to see him as another villain.

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't want another "Gal Gadot situation". The most important thing to nail when casting this new Diana, is to find an actress with a lot* of emotional range. That's precisely why I like Qualley so much.

Well, I did say "solid acting chops", right? But yes, from what I've seen of her thus far, I'd say she's quite good. On Daisy Jones in particular, she brings a certain vulnerability and strength to the role — very charismatic as well IMO. Give it a try (if you have Amazon) or maybe google some clips on YouTube.

She's no Gadot, I assure you.

Honestly, Shepard has Lex might be brilliant casting... Especially if he brings anywhere near the level of intensity he brought to TLOU..

Y'know, I think having Lex be much older than Clark could make for an interesting take. Esp if they lean into the bitterness/jealousy angle with Lex -- an older man who had to start at the bottom (& work his way up), and *build everything he has, vs Clark, who was born* with everything he has.

If we're going ethnic looking for Diana, I wouldn't mind seeing a similar approach taken with Hippolyta and the other Amazons — at least to an extent. For Hippolyta in particular, I was thinking someone like Italian actress Carolina Crescentini. A similar type if that makes any sense.

I can agree with some of the cast(though i still think we can find a better WW, if we'll keep looking).
Charlize for sure. Since this DCU reboot was announced i said Charlize should be Hippolyta. Patty knew what she's talking about when she approached her first for this role back in the day. Cate is good, too.
I also noticed you brought up Julia Kapatelis, so... where is Vanessa?
IMO if we're gonna bring up JK we have to bring up VK.
A while ago i came up with a WW trilogy and i can say both Julia and Vanessa are part of it, but they were much younger. Circe and Artemis are there, too. However, if i could pick an actress for Artemis it'll be Elizabeth Debicki.
Overall it's a nice cast of characters you have here.

Depending on the Age of the new Diana , for an actress whose young enough to be Kid sister type to Diana, 22 year old , Fellow UK actress, Thomasin McKenzie is one possibility to play Emma Thompson's daughter at least.
