Reading that script, I can't see Bale wanting to play that version of Superman. Not unless they ditched the Akiva Goldsman rewrite (that made Superman very preachy and the "I am divorced from Lois" subplot and the Smallville scenes, all of which really dragged that script down).

this all works for me! Nicolas Hoult is my ideal Batman, but I’d also love him as Superman. His involvement in new DCU could really help them turn a corner.

Although I would be SO stoked if they left most of the other Bat characters out so Reeves can have the entire roster to play with without doubling up. Other than Gordon/Alfred, I’m not sure we need other Bat characters for DCU that are in/could be in Reeves’ play box. He’ll likely skip on Harley, so Kelly Cuoco is ready to go for Harley if DCU needs her, but I’d rather no DCU Joker. And I think it’s be great to have a Bat Family in DCU, but not in Reeves-verse.

Yes ideally I’d have Hoult as Superman next to Pattinson’s Batman. But given that Hoult was runner-up for Batman, he could play the role in the DCU if it’s recast. Could even be a loose continuity with the Reeves films—that’s what I pushed for back in the post-TDK days too. Don’t contradict, compliment.

Strong cast but I think I’d like rather see a film focused on John Stewart with Hal in a supporting (maybe older mentor?) role. I still envision Tom Cruise. Maybe Abin Sur died back in 1986, and Jordan’s been hightailing it in space ever since.

And Glen Powell is perfect for a DCU Barry Allen.

And Melissa Barrera could be good for Renee Montoya depending on how/if they include that character.

I, for one, would like to see The Batman universe built up across sequels, spin-offs, HBOMax series, and special features— and eventually interconnect with the larger DCU. Not all at once, but I don’t see it as so inconceivable as others might.

I'm with you. Though I think it need to be more then just a Mediterranean descent - she should be someone, who actually born(and maybe even raised there) - A Greek native, an Italian native, a Spanish native etc. Yes I think Latinas can work too for WW.

I think 5'9 can be fine, too. 6' is a perfect height for the actress, but it might be too hard to find someone like this.

I am fine with a Wonder Woman who is 5'7. I don't want a really short WW (certainly not the height of Scar Jo's Black Widow or anything like that), because she is supposed to be a powerhouse female superhero, but she doesn't have to be as tall as Superman and Batman. I would like to see a thicker WW in terms of physique.

Agreed about Wonder Woman’s height. She doesn’t need to necessarily be the tallest in the Justice League but an actress like Ana de Armas who I think would be great as Diana is only 5’3” or 5’4” so not not the right fit visually unfortunately.

She just shouldn’t be lesser height. Average-to-tall works. And the usual Hollywood workout blah blah but even that’s fine to skip. She’s sculpted from clay. Curves are beautiful.

I haven’t seen another choice yet that I like more than Adria Ajorna (30, 5’7”):
