Well. I've been an extra for around three days actually. We haven't seen Nolan much. I've only been involved in the Bank Robbery Scene and the garage sequence. That's the extent of what I can say also.

Nolan is usually sitting all the way away from the camera. He likes to get different angles. I've only ever seen him with his long, black coat facing me. Pretty neat!

Friend of mine had worked with the casting agency. He knew they were in need of extra's on the new Batman film - Hence where I came in. He texted me the info of the time/place/date.

I've seen:

-Danny Goldring.
-Heath as Joker.
-Eckhart as Dent. Garage Sequence/Joker robbery/and exiting a car behind Eckhart/Gyllenhal as they exit a taxi.

Does anybody know if you're allowed to be an extra more than once? I was an extra back in June for the Wabash Bridge/Navy Pier scene, and I had so much fun I'd love to do it again. I understand they might not want to use the same people for continuity sake...but I mean...it's not like people would even notice the same extras off in the background, you know?

OKay maybe to put to rest of the people that are waiting to get a call to be an extra in the movie,
about how long did the response time take to get back to you to come do the extra work?

It took about a little over a month. I went to the May 5th casting call in Chicago, and then got a call on the Sunday, June 24th, and we were filming on Wednesday, June 27th. So they essentially wait for the very last second before they call you, which for...you know..planning around with jobs, etc, is a real pain in the ass. It's very aggravating, so I don't blame those of you who are getting frustrated. I've been an extra with these people before and they always do that, they've called me the night before a shoot and asked if I could come.

Although, keep in mind, I did not go through the RFK casting website, so this all could be irrelevant. If you could find out whether or not they are still going through Joan Philo Casting, I could try to find out some info for you (I have a friend who's an intern with them right now).

Well - I was in one frame of the Robbery scene and then I was chosen again for another scene and then another. Yanno? I'm not an extra anymore. But Ledger is so frickin` cool. I didn't get to speak to him at all, but his mask is awesome as heck. And - Dangit - Wish I could tell y 'all what he looks like.

I called a number that a friend of mine gave me before the RFK site went up. I actually went down to the "secret RFK headquarters" near WGN (thats where I saw the Batpod tire sticking out of the trailer).

The scene I was up for is the big parade/marching scene which rumour has it being a big police themed funeral. I also heard this was for victims in a big scene. They called me about a week after I left them a voicemail on the phone number. Then like I mentioned, I had an appointment for a Thursday and went to the office. I heard Nolan wasn't involved with any of this and this office was hired out to handle this. The company looks like it had to move to a bigger office to handle the casting. One scene needs 2000 extras.

The girl said they would call me before the shooting (8/24-26) and tell me where to go and what to wear. They also asked if I could commit to a 5 day thing if needed which would be 8/24-26, 29-30. I heard on the set you have to deal with a unit director cause Nolan can't talk directly to you cause of some sceen union acting guild thingie.

Also I was told I could one be used once for this movie but they might call me for other movies in Chicago in the future.

Has any one else got a call where to go for the 8/24 shooting?

I have not been given a call or anything. Do you think it is bad that I sent in my application more than once.
I e-mailed them and I sent it through the mail.

I e-mailed it the minute the RFK site went up and then the e-mail was takedn down so I thought that all the people who e-mailed it in would be nulled, so I then, mailed it to them.

Rory, I have no idea. All they said was they would call me this week and if I don't hear anything by 8/23 to call them.

This is bullsh**, man. I was called to be an extra back in May and was booked for this weekend's shoot, had a registration number and everything, and I just called them and they told me the scene had been canceled. I asked if they could move me to another scene or something, and she said that since I'm in the system they'd call me again if they needed me. I've been waiting for this for 3 f***ing months, and really really was counting on this happening, and it blew up in my damn face. And on top of it, they've still told you guys its still going on? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm frickin livid, I can't believe this

Sorry to hear that Mr. Clay. It might have something to do with them going on their 3rd casting company!! My first one I sent in disappeared when the 2nd company went away. I jumped the moment the RFK casting site went up and had to go re-register.

Called them back - apparently the girl I talked to this morning must've been hired for her job like yesterday, because she didn't know sh**. I'm still on the roster, the thing is that this weekend's shoot has been postponed to a later date, and all the extras booked for it will be contacted accordingly. I'll bet you somebody died in the last few days and in their will they stipulated they had to be buried in whatever cemetery TDK was going to be filming this weekend. Regardless, I am in such a better mood now. That was a close one!
