Seriously, who in the Hell takes their cat jogging? I don't think I've ever seen a cat run for more than about 15-20ft without needing a break! What was next, taking Kitty swimming?

LAFAYETTE, Colo. (AP) - March 16, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police in Lafayette, Colo., have ticketed a man who is accused of tying his cat to a rock after the feline refused to go jogging.

Sgt. Fred Palmer says 19-year-old Seth Franco brought his cat on a leash to the path around Waneka Lake Park on Wednesday, but the cat was unable to keep up.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, witnesses told police that Franco secured the cat's leash to a rock while he finished his run. A passer-by called police. Franco was ticketed on suspicion of "domestic animal cruel treatment," a municipal offense.

Palmer says an ordinance in the city, about 20 miles north of Denver, "prohibits that kind of tethering."

The cat wasn't injured, so it was released to its owner.

Franco could not immediately be reached for comment.

The idea of even bringing a cat for a walk is weird to me.

I guess the guy saw the same episode of "My Cat from Hell" on Animal Planet as I did. Where the cat guy tells the couple to walk their cat around the neighborhood.

Went looking for said clip and found a lot of videos of people walking their cats. And this ...

:lmao:

Some people need to realize cats are not dogs. They are very different.

When my mom goes for a walk with the dog, the oldest of the two cats walks with them.

I tried putting my cat on a leash once as a kid, never again. Little bastard taught me a lesson I'd never forget.
