Change In Download Speed

Last week I was downloading some various things at well over 250 to 300 something k. It took me 15 to 30 minutes to get a new TV Show Episode. Recently my max download speeds seem to be 80 to 90k on any download that fully uses my speed. I don't know wether or not my modem may be dying or did my ISP change things without notifying me ? I did some Speed Test's & the speeds seem to be fine according to them

yea, ive heard that some internet/cable companies are capping internet speed and limiting download speeds for those "sites"

I guess I will have to take out last months bill & compare the upcoming one & see if they changed my plan & if they did I could use this to get out of the contract & go else where

yea, they usually keep this quite
i think the companies that do it are Comcast, Time Warner, and some others
i have Verizon Fios internet and when i download it goes up to 700 kb
