China Discussion: "Age of America nears end" Edition

Yes, that is definitely going to hurt their workforce because it will continue to decrease....

Of the 1.3 billion people about 343 million women are of reproductive age right now...

If America can remain #1 while it's weakest, and the others #2 or beyond at their best...I think there is not much too worry about.

You know I've been thinking, while I'm sure our relative influence have declined, America still has a lot of sway, or at least many still perceive them as such (which often times matters just as much)

As soon as the revolts in the middle east and north Africa started up, there was huge amounts of discussion about how America and President Obama were going to react.

Did anyone ever ask how China was going to deal with the situation?

Not that I ever read or heard.

Think about it this way: people in Asia--China, Japan, etc.--will flock to see American movies and TV shows, even the horrible ones (Revenge of the Fallen, I'm looking in your direction). I do not think we could ever, ever see the reverse happening, outside of the odd instance of a Crouching Tiger type thing, which happens maybe every 5-10 years.

This kind of cultural impact is not something you can easily measure with GDP numbers, credit ratings or trade balances. The U.S.A. will be just fine in the long run, especially in the future when President Jaden Smith takes office. :woot:

If Sudan were back in the news.....yes?

Haha. Their reason is pretty messed up. The time travel stories show fictional characters going into past and realizing it is less ****** than modern China. That was enough to get the ban.

That, plus the fact that the entire Chinese army would lay down their guns and surrender if they ever got wind of the awesomeness of Timecop.
