Christian SHH! Members: Fave "God Song"?

Right now I'd say Washed By the Water by NEEDTOBREATHE.

The rest of their CD is really good too, but I like that one a lot too. It could pass as secular too.

Basically anything from Krystal Meyers. "My Freedom" is a great song off her new album:

And "In Christ Alone" by the Newsboys always gives me chills:

You know what Moviefan2k4, Not only Christians like God songs.

I know the song sounds a bit sinister, but my favorite song that always makes me feel passionate is "Personal Jesus" whether by Depeche Mode, Cash or Manson, the last one being my favorite. It just makes me feel like I have someone to depend on regardless.

A living prayer by Alison Krauss. :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLZAWtdFhio

In this world I walk alone
With no place to call my home
But there's one who holds my hand
The rugged road through barren lands
The way is dark, the road is steep
But He's become my eyes to see
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear
The Savior lives inside me there

In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

In these trials of life I find
Another voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives

In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

Psalm 69

Yeah I got the album.

I'd probably put Restless and The Heat as my favorites from it, but Washed is a bit more of a "God song."

the entire album "Manifestation" by Engravor... that entire album is Romans 8:1-16

I am a Christian. But I have to say, at this point, most "modern" Christian music just seems like monotonous, repetitive and mind-numbing.

Just like most of mainstream music.

Into My Arms - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Wayfaring Stranger - Neko Case/Jack White/Johnny Cash/Emmylou Harris

Pressing On - Bob Dylan

I Believe In You - Bob Dylan

John Saw That Number - Neko Case

King Without A Crown - Matisyahu

Jesus Walks - Kanye West

See? Even an atheist can like "God music".

Pretty much any Christmas song there is.

Also, I love the melody for this song and it brings back some great childhood memories:

All of the covers are pretty good too. :)

Great song from the 80s, with a video to match. Very good story. I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb.
