Memento, Christopher Nolan’s breakout thriller, is getting remade.

AMBI Pictures, run by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, has announced it will finance and produce the remake.

The company has the remake rights due to its acquisition of the library of Exclusive Media Group. The 400-title library also contains such as movies as Cruel Intentions, Donnie Darko, Rush, Sliding Doors, among others.

AMBI launched a new $200 million film fund last week, a movie which followed the acquisition of the library, and subsequently greenlit Memento as its latest production.

What? Why? LOL, I mean, I'm probably more acceptable to remakes/reboots than most, but this just seems odd, like Memento is not old enough. IDK weird. lol

Even though the movie's 15 years old there's nothing about it that seems dated.

I'd wish them good luck, but you know what? **** them.

Lmao, there's no way. I don't believe it'll happen.

Let's remake Fight Club and Pulp Fiction while we're at it.

Eh, it won't be long now before the internet catches up to this announcement and rages. And in this particular case, I hope that rage makes a difference. lawd.

How about this? Why don't these people take that $200 million in film development, and put it to small budget original content?? Instead of yet again trying to milk an existing brand. These smaller companies are able to do these things and don't take advantage of that. It's less risky to make a smaller budget film that's great where you make profit than make something no one wants to see with a bigger budget that will most likely flop and never live up to Nolan's already fine film. Take a cue from Blumhouse.

For the love of god stop!!!!! What's next, A Seven remake?

I suggest edit your post, Chris. We do not know who else may be watching.

meh.
Im not bothered. 1) because i doubt this will come to fruition 2) I'll always have the original

Remaking Memento? Memento...A film that's, imo, a masterpiece.

Well then lads it looks like those that wanted their remake of The Dark Knight will eventually get their wish.

Pointless. Who's this for?
