Civil War: the Return?

Mar-vell should stay dead, but after Bucky's return I wouldn't bet on Marvel leaving him that way (Bucky's was one death I never thought would be undone).
So it probably is just a matter of time...Hell, Gwen Stacy will likely be back too eventually.

They have handled it very well, which gives me faith, that Marvel can bring Mer-Vell back and do it good.

Honestly, it cant get anymore random than
Mar-Vell being a warden of the 42 facility.

That is pretty damn random, hopefully Marvel has a good explination for it.

Speculation from Livejournal and some other boards think its Quasar, he was supposed to come back at some point I think.

Ok, I just had a thought:

What if this Captain Mar-Vell is actually Genis, I mean he didn't actually die, and its not like they care about what happened in the comic anyway.

could be, but given his history it would seem unlikely the pro-registration heroes would place him in such a position of authority. same goes for the clone theory.

Doc Samson has been real busy lately.

My only thoughts on the return of Mar-vell is that I hope it also means Rick Jones comes back into the spotlight.
It occurs to me that Mr Jones needs to come back. Where the hell has he been lately anyway?

with the Losers.

the losers? You mean that group from marvel-team up?

it has to be a clone which Tony managed to fuse with the original's consciousness

i think it'll be cap mar-vell, i think i read a small thing in wizard about marvel boy after he was just in the runaways/YA team up about how his mini series should go up in price after a certian event or something.

plus, the cover is basically a dead give away, come on.

Yea it will be the real Mar-Vell, just dont know how they will make sense of it.

Folks, is anyone really all that surprised that Captain Marvel was going to be the one to return? (Well, other than Captain Mar-Vell being pro-reg and the warden for 42, that is.) After all, that promo cover by Marvel was a dead giveaway, especially since that emblem was IDENTICAL to Captain Marvel's insignia. Also, have we completely forgotten about the Civil War quiz posted in Wizard back in June of last year, where they ask which TWO heroes would make their triumphant return in Civl War? The choices were:

A. Thor
B. Captain Marvel
C. Ant Man
D. Hawkeye

Well, Hawkeye, technically, was already back since House of M and New Avengers #26 underscored this. Ant Man, technically, was still alive since he's Hank Pym and also we have a whole new Ant Man. That only leaves Thor--and we might as well be prepared for the reality that "Clor" was Marvel's way of reintroducing Thor back into the MU, meaning, as far as they are concerned, he is Thor--and Captain Marvel. In hindsight, one could have used process of elimination to figure out the answer before any comic hit the stands.

i'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but...

there's a McG varient cover for "the return"...last time we saw one was for civil war, and it was thor.

McG has also stated that thor is his favorite character...hmm...guess we'll know in about 10 hours...

I think Clor is the "Thor returns" part, since Marvels original plan was to use Thor, who knows I may be wrong, I just dont see Thor returning in anything that has to do with Civil War.

Don't call it a resurrection.

Spoilers....
[BLACKOUT]
Marvel somehow tampered with space and time trying to get out of the negative zone, but ended up in Sentry's Watchtower.[/BLACKOUT]

It is just me or does [BLACKOUT]Mar-Vell[/BLACKOUT] look too young?
