Hmmm...I guess a darker, edgier take is probably better than a straight remake, since the old TV series was not good. Or it could be wholly unnecessary. Still, it joins the trends of stuff like Riverdale.

It's just not clear to me from the description that this will really have anything to do with Clueless. They're changing the plot, the genre, the time period, and all that they've indicated is staying is names and the broad popular high school student concept.

ClueLess is one of my favorite movies EVER! And its nice to see the public hasn't forgotten about it, 24 years later.

I always wondered why they never made a sequel to Clueless. Maybe it wouldn't have been as good, but the first one was kind of a phenomenon at the time. It was weird that they opted instead to do a crappy TV series starring an actress who looked like an Alicia clone.

A lot of elements like Alicia Silverstone's performance and the script came together in just the right way that it's hard to replicate. A sequel at the time would've made more sense than the TV show. But Alicia was a hot commodity after the movie and probably wanted to move onto other things (i.e. Batman and Robin.)

I'd rather see a documentary series that follows Stacey Dash around with a GoPro for one week. Tragedy and comedy at the same time.

They could work that into the show. Dionne could go undercover in various scenarios, such as working for Fox News.

I do hope Murray is going to be part of the show.
