Christ.. :wow:

Good Lord!
I wonder what that looks like from space. It's has to be f***ing awe-inspiring.

Space scares me...

Isn't that bigger than an entire solar system????

It's Galactus. :(

ahhh i think red giant is what i ment instead of supernova

Wikipedia said:
it would take more than 2 hours for light to travel around its circumference. If it were possible for a human to walk on the surface of Canis Majoris, at 3 miles an hour for 8 hours a day, it would take him or her 162,000 years to walk the entire circumference (compared with 2 years 11 months to complete the same task on the Earth).

:wow:

Now the crazy thing for this sucker will be when it dies and implodes...bye bye to that whole galaxy.

When it dies and implodes that'd most likely **** up more than one galaxy right? That thing is HUGE.

No, it's still only one star, and the distances between stars are far too great. It'll probably make a good-lookin' nebula one day, and who knows, it might spread heavy elements to other planets, resulting in one day the formation of life.

Yeah, i've read about that before. It's quite amazing actually with what's out there. I've always had an interest in outer space. With things like that out there, sure makes the earth and everything on it feel insignificant.

With the vastness that is space...there is probably one larger than that.
