I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but I'd like Gary Frank to be the concept artist for Superman.

No you won't. I started this thread and all suggestions are welcomed I will ask though why Gary Frank? I enjoyed his art in the comic but he really didn't do anything original or particularly interesting with the look of Superman. He lifted most of it from the Reeve movies down to Superman's face and expressions and of course the costume; also none of it was particularly "real world" so to speak just standard comic book costuming. I'm curious what you think he would add to the concept stage of the new film?

Ok, yeah that's a good point. I was so stuck thinking about Superman i didn't even consider how nice his brainiac design was along with the ship etc. Good suggestion.

while i definitely want Brainiac to feel alien, H.R. Giger's style is too signature imo. everyone knows an H.R. Giger piece. i'd love to see an artist who is INFLUENCED by Giger, but i wouldn't want to see concepts from Giger HIMSELF.

You're right it WOULD be too "unoriginal".

Something biomecanical though and a hive-like enviroment busy with strange sentinels created by Brainiac. Like Matrix Revolutions' Zero-One with swarm intelligent sentinels. That'd be scary.
