While Rebecca has dreams of working for a top fashion magazine, she can't quite get her foot in the door—that is, until she snags a job as an advice columnist for a new financial magazine published by the same company. Overnight, her column becomes hugely popular, turning her into an overnight celebrity. But when her compulsive shopping and growing debt issues threaten to destroy her love life and derail her career, she struggles to keep it all from spiraling out of control.. and is ultimately forced to reevaluate what's really important in life.

Isla Fisher ("Wedding Crashers") stars in the film from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director P.J. Hogan ("My Best Friend's Wedding"), based on the best-selling series of books by British author Sophie Kinsella.

I don't know about this, just yet. Could end up being good.

got a feeling all of the girls i hang with will end up making me go see it...sad part is it mite be decent

How come she isn't English? And yes I will probably end up seeing this. Though it doesn't look great.

Looks like Isla is getting her solo movie career going..

Uh, how? It seems like the furtherest thing from Wedding Crashers acutally.

Yeah

Anyways, I'll see it. These kinds of films (The ones that look decent) are my "guilty pleasures"... If you believe in that sort of thing. Not sure that I do, myself, actually. But you get the idea.

It could be good. Isla Fischer is a pretty good comedic actress and this could be a pretty good satire of the credit-happy society we live in...that said...it'll probably just be a cheap romantic comedy.

I love Isla, so I'll probably see this. It's not the type of movie that I usually find entertaining, but she could get me to sit through just about anything.

Ya, she looks amazing in those Allure pictures. I just saw this interview clip with her and I think she is such a great actress, with an even more amazing personality. She really hit it big with her role in Wedding Crashers, so it will be nice to see her in the leading role in this movie.

Here is a positive review of the film from "Entertainment Weekly". I am sure with Valentine's Day weekend and Isla Fisher starring in this film, women are going to be flocking to the theater this weekend.

When I first saw the trailer, I thought Isla was actually Amy Adams. Then I took a closer look and thought, "Hey, it's that chick from Wedding Crashers and Scooby Doo."

And Jerry Bruckheimer is a producer on this flick? Is he trying to broaden his horizons other than being the typecast as the "disposable patriotic entertainment" producer?

Hard to believe that Isla is looking this smokin' hot after having a baby.

If I hear "you speak prada?!" on TV again I'm slapping the next redhead I see. Chris Brown style.

So does this have enough power to take on Jason at the box office?

Whats everyone prediction?

meh, the only thing i know about this story are those colorful books on display at various bookstores. and that some of my lady-coworkers are obsessed over them.

i despise preening, undisciplined fashionistas, but getting Isla Fisher to play the lead doenst only look like perfect casting but looks to be damn entertaining as well.

i'll probably go see this..... on DVD ;)

What, are you kidding? A chick flick + Valentine's Day? This movie will almost definitely be #1 for the weekend. :p And I predict The International at #2, and F13 at #3.

Also looking back at the pics above, Isla would be perfect for Harley in another Batman movie! And the red hair wouldn't be a big issue either, in fact it might be interesting to have a red-head as Harley.

What do you mean am I kidding?

Coming soon as F13 as being number 1 and making close to 40 million.

What do you wanna wadger on it, if your so sure.

Jason will ****ing murder her. And jam a machete in her....um....well, it was a deleted scene from one of the films.

Besides, Friday is the perfect date movie.

$5! :p

I was just guessing though, usually chick flicks make more box office than genre horror movies. But I could kinda see F13 being #1 instead, it's good counter-programming.
