I'm new here and I want to get a feel of the place and see what others tastes and opinions are like, if I may be so bold! :yay:

What are your controversial or minority opinions about DC comics? Keep it civil though, i don't want to be an instigator of a flame war!

Ok i'll start. Mike Carey's Lucifer is superior to Sandman in pretty much every way. I find the titular character much more interesting, as well as the supporting characters and antagonists. I also feel it was more consistent in it's qualities. Whereas Sandman had high points and low points. I thought some arcs really dragged and were a chore to get through.

This is not to say that I don't think Sandman is good, I think it's great. But I just think Lucifer is the more consistent, focused and overall better quality book.

Hi there, welcome to the Hype. :)

Little bit of advice: if I recall correctly another poster had started a topic very similar to this and it was met with a pretty unwelcome response; not because it started a flamewar or anything, but there's already a thread in the Misc Comics section called Unpopular Comic Opinions which is basically what you're describing, so I reckon post it there.

All opinions about comics are minority opinions because nobody reads comics.

Majority opinions on comics:

"Only nerds read that ****"

"I heard they're worth a lot of money or something?"

"Blam! Pow! They Aren't Just For Kids Anymore!"

Well i meant opinions about comics that are seen as going against the majority. Like, Brian Bendis is a crap writer, for instance.

I thought the majority agreed Bendis liked to suck on big fat donkey balls while he wrote his comics therefore making them horrible.
