MARATHON, Fla. - Investigators in the Florida Keys say they lured a suspected marijuana grower into turning himself in by leaving a ransom note in place of six seized pot plants.

The sheriff's office in Monroe County says detectives discovered the plants in a wooded lot and confiscated them.

They left a phone number on a note that read: "Thanks for the grow! You want them back? Call for the price."

Steven Alan Locasio called the number about 10 minutes later. Locasio offered $200 for the plants, and detectives agreed to meet him for an exchange.

Locasio was arrested and booked into jail on drug charges. He was expected to appear in court Tuesday. It's unclear if he already has an attorney.

A telephone message left for Locasio was not immediately returned.

 when he gets out of jail he'll start growing indoor now.

This ties in perfectly with a long running thesis of mine: pot heads ain't too bright.

My personal opinion on the topic aside, it's stuff like this that will continue to keep marijuana illegal. Maybe if the typical representatives of the pot-smoking community weren't Cheech and Chong, just maybe, people would be more willing to listen to what they have to say.

Hahaha! It's so true. Weedheads are not usually very bright at all. It's kind of sad. Especially if you knew the person before they started smoking the stuff. :(

I've never done the stuff, don't really want to, but I can go both ways on this topic. Some of my friends are just as bright now a sthey were before the started smoking, although many whom onced beleived in a certain religion opened up to toehr eligions very quickly or stopped believing in a God or such alltogether, though they believe in a life after death. That is neither here nor there, though mos tof them stopped at pot and only did it.
On the other hand, some I've known have been bright, and evens till make soem good grades, but became lazy lumps bent on trying every drug known to man to see how they feel, than getting as many people as they can to smoke with them, than do acid with them, than do more, and more, and essentially create a second lump. It's odd how much influence they seem to be able to gain over people, even though the obviously stay stoned, or tripping out, as much as possible everyday.

The only time I've ever experience a "high" was one time when I was working on a model kit and the ventilation was poor. It was more like a headache than anything else, but it caused me to feel dizzy and my vision looked bubbly. Even if it weren't for all the stuff my parents taught me about avoiding drugs and carefully limiting my alcohol intake, that experience alone was enough to show me that I wanted to avoid the influence of any mind-altering chemicals.

No doubt. No rational person would try to pay the ransom on something like this. If a thief nabs something that is illegal, they know you aren't going to involve the police. Trying to regain it is an invitation to injury or worse.

Maybe the guy wasn't thinking straight because of the pot or maybe he was just that dumb. Regardless, he's lucky he was dealing with the police instead of a gang-banger/drug dealer who might have taken his pot, his $200, and shot him.

Well, if they're that stupid, they have done more then just weed. I know people who smoke, and they're fine. However, it's the ones that do it every single day, and other drugs, who are messed up...and quote un quote...dumb.

We probably wouldn't have heard of that, but I might've laughed a little harder at it.

No. The people that I know only smoke weed. And it's definitely taken a toll on their brains.

Do they do it every single day over a long period of time?

I smoke it, but only either every weekend, or every few weeks.

I got blazed in the middle of the winter outside.

Only time I've ever done it. Only time I will.

This guy is a dummy either way though~

Oh I know right, I guess I lied though. It started in the cold dark forest, proceeded to a warm car.

It was fun but I ate all the lunch meat my mom just bought and got yelled at for it. :/

Yeah. Then I woke my sister up to make Mac N Cheese. Knowing we had Easy Mac ready to be made, which I knew how to do blindfolded.

She made it. I ate it. Asked for more.

I once paid my friend 5 bucks to take me to Wendy's and get me a Baconator....and my god, was it good.

Dude! After that, my sober friend wanted some McChickens.

I had about 100 dollars for whatever.

So well, well...you know. :D

I ate too much and puked then fell asleep starting up the 360. :/

Hahahahahahaha.

I spent 34.67

I have the receipt still. :o

Eat it.

I remember I once ate some Chef Boyrdee, and my god was it good. It was almost orgasmic....and I dont even like the stuff that much.
