A HERO'S JOURNEY.

Based on the legendary novel by Daniel Defoe, this is the tale of Robinson Crusoe. A young man leaves his true love to embark on an adventure, only to end up shipwrecked on a remote tropical island for 28 years, completely detached from the life he once knew. His desire to return to his wife and his strong and unlikely friendship with Friday are the only things that keep him sane. While stranded, Crusoe encounters enemies and braves the elements. Part MacGyver, part Castaway and part Pirates of the Caribbean, this is a contemporary morality tale about love, friendship and personal discovery. Crusoe is an aspirational tale of survival, rife with action and comedy.

I can't wait to see this :D

If done right ... :o

I'm curious as to how they'll do this as a recurring series.

I need to find out when this premiers. I'm pretty interested in this one.

Seems like NBC's version of Lost. Yeah I know Crusoe came first, but I think the only reason it was greenlighted was cause of Lost

I'm actually more interested in NBC's new series "The Philanthropist". To me, that premise sounds more interesting.

It sounds like the old show "The Millionaire".

I'm not sure how they can make Crusoe into a weekly series though.

I can't see longevity for this series. Unless they "Gilligan's Island" it. Meaning they keep having people show up on the island he has to deal with but each week he never manages to snag that way home. Smuggler's, Pirates, tribes on the island or whatever

It could face an uphill battle with the LOST comparisons. Heck I was a fan of Peter Benchleys:The Amazon and didn't get into LOST right away due to comparison factor. Of course now I am a huge fan of LOST. Hopefully it will just stand on its own and that will bring people in.

it about this guy name robion crusoe he get stuck on a island. they have Pirates on the island. its really good show. it just came on friday. it come on next friday at 9:000pm on abc.

I haven't had a chance to catch it yet. Anyone see it?

Premiere was great. Sadly, I don't see it going beyond season one. :(

I loved PB's Amazon too. Shortlived though it was, I liked it better than LOST.

I've watched the first two and have them both saved (in case my wife wants to jump in), and I must say it's a lot better than I expected. It's definitely worth at least a season's look. Also, the title is about the man himself, so if he ever finds himself going home in the show, which he eventually does do in the book (after 28 years), the show's laying a good groundwork for intrigue to deal with there, also.

This is on NBC? When does it air?

It comes on Friday nights at 9pm.

The first 2 hour episode was real good. Funny, exciting, good action, nice sets and attention to detail. Appears to be setting up for lot of flashbacks as part of the storyline....with a mystery angle involving Sam Neill.

The second episode was strange. A mystical adventure with ghosts, ancient lost civilization, and lapses in plausability.

I saw this last week. I loved it . It will be a show I will continue to watch. It was exciting and funny. I think very well acted, as well.

I just saw this for the first time a few days ago and thought it was a pretty good looking show. I'll have to catch up on the episodes now.

Is this still on? I saw a segment about it on the today show...a good while ago...and thats all I ever heard of it? Do they show commercials or anything?

Last night's episode... the cannibals came back, the one's that Crusoe saved Friday from, and they had two sacrificial offerings. One was the guy who marooned Crusoe in the first place, the other was Friday's father.

Did the first guy die on the boat back to his ship, and is Friday's father coming back to the island?
