Daft Punk's Electroma

Directed by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) the film is a psychedelic musical and visual odyssey based around the premise of two robots and their quest to become human. It is the reclusive duo’s directorial debut, but not their first appearance at the Canne's Film Festival after the pair collaborated in 2003 with Japanese director Leiji Matsumoto on the animated film ‘Interstella 5555’.

For what 'Electroma' lacks in dialogue it is expected to make up for in an engrossing Soundtrack and impressive visuals. It debuted in the Sidebar at The Cannes Film Festival sidebar Directors’ Fortnight, which started in May 18. The film received mixed reviews.

Personally I think this film will kick ass!

Dood, I'm totally thrilled about this.
so yeah, I'm a big fan.
though I don't know if they are purposefully giving it a quasi-mad max feel in some scenes.

so it's what, like, a 2 hour music video? done by daft punk?

hm, well... cool. i haven't heard any daft punk songs in at least a few years, but i used to really dig them.

Hmmm...

Daft Punk's pretty rad, although I'm not sold on this idea.

I'll buy in. 'Homework' is as classic as anything influential in music. So many tight singles off of it. Their best work to date was sadly their first efforts but even still that is great-ness.
Will see it.
For a laugh catch their opening at Coachella last year on youtube.com
wow.

heh...those robots look kickass...

...and i love most of Daft Punk's stuff. i'll be checking this out whenever i get the chance.

I have no clue what this is... but it looks awesome. And I love Daft Punk!

Anyone ever actually see or hear about BT's "movie" for his album - This Binary Universe? seems kind of a similar idea here...

I loved "Discovery" and Interstellar 5555, so I might check this out.

The movie is 1 hour 14 mins and received mixed reviews at the Cannes Film Festival where it premiered in March/April. No word on a possible release date for DVD or cinema release.

Haha!!! Mad Max! I never thought of that!

I managed to see this movie last. Very good with many ideas despite not having any dialogue. The ending is AMAZING!

When does this get released to the masses?

Must not die before then. Must live.
