Drama Dan Fogelman’s Paradise | Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson

For some reason, I am starting to suspect Sinatra's husband being the person that killed Cal. He was only introduced in episode 2 and that was the last time we saw him. I however don't think Sinatra knew about it until after it happened, which could explain why the dna sample suddenly went missing (perhaps she was trying to protect him?)

Episode 7 blew me away!!!

I say each episode is the best episode ever then the next one comes along, but "The Day" might be the best Paradise episode to date and not just that but could be a contender for the best episode of TV ever.

This episode shows Cal was a good man and great President and explains why in present day why he was so depressed and drinking daily, that "Day" left a toll on everyone but more on him.

The EMP gave the survivors of the supervolcanic eruption/megatsunami a fighting chance.

This paints everything now in a different light, in past episodes it made it out to look like Cal was a coward, spineless man and puppet to his father and Sinatra. But knowing what we do now, Cal was brave and headstrong and willing to do what's right. He might of lost his way while in "Paradise" but when it was needed that man returned.

Sinatra probably feared that man returning so why over the years probably belittled him and added more weight to his depression to make him more easily to manage.

The numbers I originally thought could be associated with a plane could well be the digits for the Presidential Emergency Satchel.

I feel the supervolcanic eruption was sped up by someone. As all the scientists seemed in shock how fast it happened without warning. Kane and Sinatra might of got bored of waiting for it to happen naturally, or thought if it happened earlier it would cause more panic within the Supreme Court/Congress/Joint Chiefs of Staff as without them around controlling their new underground city would be more easy, and then they be the most powerful people down there.

Now with Teri alive the next question is who killed Cal? Sinatra says it was someone from the outside, I feel if true how could someone get in without Sinatra knowing?! Unless they were in the city on the Day the world died? Sneaked in under everyone's noses, in the city from the start?!

Honourable shoutout to Jeffrey!!!

What you all thinking Guys?

Amazing episode this week. Marsden crushed it. CRUSHED IT. Makes me wish we still had a president in the U.S. instead of a dictator imprisoning immigrants, s***ing on trans people and working out deals to free his fellow rapists from prison.

Also, was Xavier using a BlackBerry? Do those still exist? lol

With Episode 8 being called "The Man Who Kept the Secrets" I sense this going to be Kane Bradford.

His secrets will be how him and Sinatra caused the end of the world, Kane was famous for drilling for oil.

What if this skill came in handy to be able to push the timetable of the eruption?!

Yeah I posted on the 1st page since episode 2, that I have a feeling that this was going to be accelerated by Sinatra, as she felt it was the only way she could truly protect her daughter and husband after losing her son.

Yeah it’s her M.O. and shows how selfish she truly is.

She had a loss no parent should ever experience but instead of moving on and trying to make something positive from it. To try and live her life for her husband and daughter.

Instead possibly helping the end of the world to happen faster and have complete control over the bunker, when she couldn’t control her life in the “real world.”

She would become a James Bond villain indeed.

I've been having a hard time getting some of my people to tune into the show but yeah Episode 7 is going to be the one that days it. Amazing episode.

Just finished. I hope we don't have to wait long for season 2. :)

Thought the finale was

... good, but after the brilliance of episode 7, it didn't impress in quite the same way. I thought the librarian twist was a good one and didn't see it coming, even though in the initial 10 mins of the episode I was hoping this wasn't going to be an anticlimatic cop-out of some randomer from outside killing the President. But when it turned out to be a guy we have actually seen in other episodes, it was smart.

Still a solid episode, but more of a 7/10 or 8/10 for me.

Overall, a great show though and looking forward to S2.

I liked the twist, I was convinced the killer was going be Sinatra's husband, as we had only met him once in episode 2 and know nothing about him

Yeah it was an interesting twist that made sense and a great case of a killer hiding in plain sight. I’m intrigued for season 2.

I will say heading into S2 I am not a fan of splitting Xavier from the rest of the cast to go interact with ppl you know you will never see again, I get it for plot purposes, but it's a problem I have had with many show that did this

I will say it was surprising to see him head out with no back-up. I guess it makes sense considering his number one guy was killed and he needs someone to look after the kids while he’s away, but still

Going to be a long wait. :(
