Dave Bautista in Universe's Most Wanted

Universe's Most Wanted: Dave Bautista to Star in Sci-Fi Fantasy from Brad Peyton - ComingSoon.net

Scifi flick about a transport crash landing on Earth containing dangerous alien criminals that must be captured by an intergalactic peacekeeper and the son of a local sheriff.
Only ONE alien being is sent out to take on such a dangerous threat? It's stated that it's not a single criminal, but a bunch of them.
That's a joke to begin with.
If it needs to be just one otherworldly person going after the criminals, why a peacekeeper and not an intergalactic cop, armed to his/her teeth? The joke gets bigger.

Then, the peacekeeper decides to work with a human, despite we're not a space travelling civilzation (and we therefor lack the technology to handle such a matter). The joke grows and grows.

And then, it turns out that's not the actual sheriff who joins the mission.
Why avoid getting help from someone who at least have experience with SOME criminals?
Is the sheriff's son better suited for catching the most dangerous beings to ever set their feet on our planet? That's a joke inside the joke.

A sci fi element is never realistic to begin with, but they could have tried better.
If this happened for real, an intergalactic SWAT team would have been sent out to get the criminals.

True.
The son is probably in a rebellious stage, thinking he's better than his father in every field. Including doing police work.
As soon as the human teenager teams up with the peacekeeper, he starts showing amazingly skills in handling firearms and doing combat. The teen is likely similar to Thomas in Maze Runner trilogy.
Remember Thomas? He had such high thoughts about himself that's he imagined he's able to take on an army of trained soldiers, going solo without any help.

Just cast Dylan O'Brien as the sheriff's son. With the risk of him getting typecast.
In an upcoming film, he's crossing an entire continent by himself, with real monsters everywhere, just to meet his girlfriend.

Dave has his own production company? That's cool!
