Oh my god! thats lame as hell!

"You sure?"
"Really?"
"do you want to ask a life line?"
"once its gone you cant have it back"
"ok... done!"

How likely is it that it won't be fixed?

Microsoft is pretty adamant that crap like this is a "feature" of it's new operating system, so learn to love it or find a better alternative.

You can't just "confirm" important stuff like this. You have got to confirm the living S*** out of it!!!

That doesn't answer my question.

BTW, is there any word on moving a shortcut into the recycle bin?

Seriously, who right clicks on a shortcut to delete, just drag.

I have been on the iMac for two weeks. No resetting the system, no buggy software and no soul :(

Im going to install bootcamp so I can get some windows action from time to tim.

I never thought I would miss windows.

How does it not answer your question? It's pretty clear from what I stated that Microsoft views this as a feature, thus it's not something that needs to be fixed. It's set up that way intentionally.

Which is why I bring it up.

That doesn't answer my question b/c you're assuming it is a feature of Vista when it may be not be.

Why the f**k you would ever miss Windows is beyond me, but if you're running an Intel based Mac, check out software called Parallels. Excellent software for running Windows in a virtual machine with very little performance hit. Apple is even touting it on their own website. If you have questions about software or how to do something on your new Mac, don't hesitate to PM me or Scarlet_spidey. There was a Mac user's thread in the tech support forum but I'll be damned if I can find it since the Search database got reset.

I'm not assuming that it's a feature. Vista is set up specifically to confirm system level deletions in this way. Microsoft did it on purpose. :)

That could not be the official version...no one would use it.

Dude, no one knows as much about the Bible as an atheist does. No one knows as much about Satan Worship as an Evangelical preacher.

Why does a Microsoft ****e like you know so little about Microsoft? :) I started my career as a Windows NT Administrator way back when. Keeping up with OS's is a bit of a hobby.

Cheers,

I don't really care. I use a Windows only b/c it's the lesser of 2 evils. I have nothing but bad experience with Macs.
