Finally we get out first official look at the film, and it's with DAT Gosling.

Cianfrances' next film has him reuniting with Ryan Gosling but he also manages to round up some good actors in the film. Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Ben Mendelsohn and Ray Liotta to name a few.

Synopsis: The story follows Luke (Gosling), a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, but when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Cooper) their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational fued. The Place Beyond the Pines is described as a rich dramatic thriller that traces the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villain.

Blue Valentine was a fantastic debut film so I'm definitely looking forward to this, and look at the cast.

Gosling is a quality actor and I like the premise.

Interesting premise & the fact they cast Bradley Cooper is even better!!! Can't wait to see a sample or trailer for this movie.

I'm wondering if Gosling has an affinity with vehicles. :D This looks more like an action thriller than the first film by this director.

This looks good enough to check out when it comes to theaters

Gosling gave an incredible performance in Blue Valentine and I, more or less, expect him to do the same reunited with Cianfrance. It's interesting that the film will span generations and the cast Cianfrance has assemble is fantastic, so yes; sign me up.

Sounds good, I will be sure to watch this when it comes out.

If Im reading the summary right, well see Gosling and Cooper's characters age and live out their lives on opposite sides of the law.

Yep, you're right and how cool is that? At the core of the film the theme Cianfrance wants to explore is the transformative power of fatherhood and he'll show that with it taking place over a few generations and it'll have intriguing genre elements like a crime story and mystery. He mentioned the film as his The Deer Hunter.

So if you've seen Blue Valentine and the character Dean played by Gosling, I think we'll see similar results apply on both Gosling's and Cooper's character for this.

Stoooked for this. Love Gosling of course and I also absolutely loved Blue Valentine as a movie. It moved me with it's content, it's acting and it's visuals. Really curious to what this Derek can do next.

Also Gosling riding motorcycle will be badass sexy no doubt.

Looks like another great work from Dereck C no doubt to be overshadowed by the next cool work of Refn.

Blue Valentine was really great, can't wait to see this one!

Murder By Numbers taught me the Gos + red leather jacket = badassery

This was at Tiff, and dammit, I didn't get to see it. While I was waiting in line for The Master one of my friends saw it. Said it was very good. And we even get to see Gosling lose his cool and shout.
